Sound after shut down. . .

After I shut down my RTS and remove the key, there's usually a high-pitched tone that goes on for q while. It eventually stops. This isn't the beep warning that I haven't set the brake. It's very high and constant.

Since it stops eventually I haven't been too worried, but I thought I'd post the question here incase you folks more knowledgeable about the machine have the scoop.

It's the fan cooling the engine. It well run for a bit after the bike is off. Penny

This would be your throttle body holding open. It is normal and it states this in the Owners Manual.

Totally normal. I went through the same steps that you did and was assured by fellow SL members that it was nothing to worry about.

They have you covered. It has to do with the throttle body fix.

Thanks to all for your responses. I told my main mechanic, my brother Rockey, and he said Lamont's answer makes sense to him. (I don't have any sense about mechanics.)
