• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sorta inexpensive highway pegs

After installing ISCI ryder and passenger floorboards, I ended up with two sets of stock pegs.

It dawned on me the other day that they might be used as low-cost highway pegs.

Ended up using the stock passenger pegs, two bolts and a couple of nylon locknuts.

Had the bolts and nuts in the garage, so no cost. Now the ISCI floorboards... that's a different story....(but well worth their cost!)

NOOO!!! That won't work!!! The passenger pegs only work for "passengers"...if you use them for highway pegs, you won't be able to reach the brake in time if there's an emergency because you have to install your legs backwards!!!

:roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:

OK...I know...I'm a smart (or dumb) a$$...but I couldn't resist!!!

Seriously...that's a good idea. :D

Not a problem, there are a few people who will tell you that I'm *** backward anyway.

Bolted to what?

Ron,
I see your nice pictures, which I appreciate, but I can't tell what you've bolted the stock pegs to. Can you tell me if they're bolted to the frame, or to the black plastic, or is there something else that I can't see?
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,

They are bolted to part of the mounting system that was installed as part of the ISCI ryder floorboards. (a great item to have by the way)
