There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. apparently one of our "funny" salesman thought it would be a good idea to get on here under another name and have some fun.

i apologize for that, and him. i just found out from one of my techs this happened and read the other thread and confirmed it. i dont even know what was said. i am trying to find out, but i am sure it was not needed here.

lamont i think its high time you called me and/or speak to me in person. to think that i would pull a stunt like that proves how little you know me. i have no alter ego. what you see is what you get. and i would appreciate if you would go back to your last post in the other thread and adjust your inaccurate comment about what happened. and again i am sorry.

this IS very serious to me and important that we attempt to keep it on an adult level. again i apologize for our "funny" 21 year old salesman. it is being dealt with as i type.

OK, I read the whole other thread. If this guy was so bad, he wouldn't be coming back in here. I think this was one total SNAFU and everyone had a different view on the matter.

Bloop or however the heck you spell it (need a new name Bro) did what he could and although not perfect he tried and what the heck did all you guys do? POUNCE ON HIM.

I can see if he said F U All and walked away but he came on here to post his side of the situation.

If he did that, then I don't believe he's slacking on Baja Ron. All I can say is the Spyder is STILL VERY NEW and it's gonna have some ups and downs. Look at Harley for God's sake - how many leaky bikes they got. HDX had a total LEMON for a Roadglide when he had his '05. That thing was in the shop MORE than he rode it. They tried, it sucked, nothing worked out so he took the chance, STILL trusted Harley and got another one (thank Gawd no problems).

Just sayin - Bloopie, blimpie or whatever, isn't trying to pull one over on ya.

Just one more thing

I also think that this whole Spyder thing is new to many dealers. I never had a problem w/ my dealer but when those exhaust slip joints were going on everyone's bikes, many people had to wait for those to come in and BRP didn't exactly have an inventory of them. So I think alot of it has to do w/ dealers being new to this whole thang and BRP being new to the demands of Spyder Lovers. Not insulting BRP but they are up in the Great White North and they aren't an American Company. With most American companies you can piss and moan and complain till Kingdom come and eventually you'll get your service and sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll get somethin for nothin thrown in. BRP? I don't think they have gotten used to Americans yet. They do their stuff on their own time, their own way. Dealers get the flack from the pissed off customers and BRP doesn't have to deal with the customer directly. They got their money in the beginning when we put our money down on the Spyder - customer satifaction can come later for them - they don't care - they got their money. Oh nevermind, I'm rambling.

speaking of exhaust (slip joint ) gaskets.. I ordered all 3 a week from today at my local dealer.. Guess what?? They ( gaskets ) have still not arrived.
One of four things:
1. My local dealer slow in ordering the gaskets.
2. BRP slow in part fullment to ship to the dealer.
3. Gaskets on backorder. But according to my local dealer ( BRP Stock search ) they had plenty of gaskets on the shelf.

Now had I had a blown gasket, I would have not been a happy spyder owner. 8 days for a lousy gasket???? Is it possible that the selling dealer is not made to have in stock, at least, the possible consumable parts? Like, value cover gaskets, exhaust gaskets, battery, tires, brake pads. I could understand that if the dealer lived next door to the Part supplier that he would not have to have those items on the shelf. Well I could go on, but I shall not as money is short 'supply and I am sure the dealers are getting pinched as well as the rest of us. But the least they all could do would be honest in what would take to get the parts, maybe the customer is willing to pay for expedited (overnight) shipment due to the activity he or she may be involed in.
I started out with 2 cents but I guess I spent a nickle.

Ask Roaddog about gaskets - he had a 3 week wait - not the dealer's fault either.

They should have some idea, they've been selling Ski-doos and Sea-doos in the US for a long time and have been getting their fair share of atv sales for some time too. Not trying to be confrontational but its not like the Spyder is the first thing they've sold to the average US consumer. After spending some time talking with a long time Ski-doo owner / Premier Edition Spyder owner, BRP seems to struggle with "getting things right" right out of the gate.

:agree: not the first thing they sold to the average US consumer but those ski-doos were sold to people who were watet sports enthusiasts. Those quads were sold to quad enthusiasts - hunters, etc. Spyder? It's a whole "new enthusiast" - either people from 2 wheels or people who've never ridden in their life. I don't think they figured in what a huge turn out this was. Spyder is comprised of a whole bunch of people from different walks of life, not like it's your boating or hunting/trail segment only.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this point. I guess I'm not willing to cut BRP as much slack in this instance as you are.

Tell your sales guy (if he's still employed) that he set the time record for getting banned. And, to my knowledge, he's only the second ever to have that much deserved honor. :yikes:

But, now that you're here, and Ron vouches for you, stick around and contribute!

Wow that wasn't the tone you had with me on the phone. If I had read this first I may have had a different tone myself.

Like I said we can move on from here and act like nothing happened if that's what you want to do.

I haven't entered into these conversations, and still will not get involved. I think you and Ron are both to be commended. Ron has been patient, and has met with you and got things resolved, coming back here to apologize and tidy things up. You have come here to try to explain things from the dealer's perspective. You paint a target on your back when you do that, in general, and it takes something special to be willing. It is great to get this all resolved and out in the open thanks to you both.

I agree with Atadude, please stick around. It would be very nice to get a service rep here to help differentiate between fact and fiction, and to give a little different perspective. Everyone gets frustrated when they can't ride, or they wait endlessly for repair parts. I waited two months for a replacement windshield, and am still waiting eight months later for a second replacement (revised design), and a replacement cowl. Sometimes such frustration is likely to be aimed toward anyone affiliated with BRP or a dealer. Guess it's human nature. I won't promise that we will never get a little testy, but I for one, would sure like to see you stick around and contribute.

Believe me BJT, she's not cutting them any slack. Her point is that BRP has been in the business of selling toys. While the Spyder can be considered that also, it's really a motor vehicle. For some, it's their only transportation. If a sled, quad, or jet ski is down because of parts or support issues, it's really only an inconvenience. The Spyder is a different game, and perhaps BRP needs to approach it differently. Magic Man posted in another thread about Harley's commitment to customer service/satisfaction. I've been on the recieving end of that more than once, and it's nice to know they AND their dealers will do anything within reason (and often way beyond the call)to work things out. BRP AND their dealer network need to take a page from that book, and provide a level of service and satisfaction that isn't generally there now. If they continue with the casual attitude, they're only shooting themselves in the foot....:doorag:

Okay, now I understand where you guys are coming from. Its all good... :doorag:

I am sorry the way that paragragh sounded. it may have came off harsher than i ment it. i am a very straight shooter and do not mince words(no beating around the bush with me). my wife and mom get mad at me about this also(i get it from my dad).

what i ment was;
-we need to talk
-i am not the kind of person who would have posted the things the salesman did.
-as you get to know me you will find this out
-and to please remove/change that last post on that thread you had made before anyone else gets the wrong idea about me(which you did and thank you)
-and again we wanted to extend our apologies to BajaRon, You, This Forum, and Everyone on here for what that salesman did.

Thanks to everyone on here for what seems to be, giving me the opportunity to show that we do care, and want to be a part of the Spyder community. We went through great strides to become a Spyder dealer and want make the effort to be known as one of the best.

I will visit this forum on a regular basis. Hopefully i can provide some help/insight to what yall are looking for out of a dealers presence here.
