There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Well I left home at 7:02 this morning, stopped at Butch's work to say good-bye, and off I went! 160 miles and 2 gas stops and I'm doing great! It has been a beautiful day so far with only a couple of clouds. Lunch stop in Rhinelander in about 2 hours. --Paula

Thanks everyone. I am at a great little drive-in having lunch in Camdon, WI. Everything is going well, and I am doing great on time so I think I will shoot for Escanaba, MI for the night.

I figured out that the reason I take so many photos while on the back of the Spyder is because I'm not so much bored just need something to do. I have only taken one photo all day! I will have to stop more often and get a photo of Hwy 8 before getting into Michigan.

Made it to Escanaba and found a great little mom & pop motel right on Hwy 2. Love these places, when I asked where a good place to eat (not fast food) they invited me eat with them! Shepards pie, yum!

I rode 337 miles today, so tomorrow when I'm by the lake I'll have lots of time to stop for photos. The roads were great, traffic very light and I almost stayed dry! Caught the edge of a squal that cooled me off very nicely, but didn't get me wet, just the road spray got me wet. Then the sun came out and dried me up. I got to experience having a bee get in my helmet! That was fun, then some other bug must've hit my leg and stung me thru my jeans!

I also got to watch the odometer roll over to 25,000 miles, so I pulled over to take a photo of it for Butch so he can send for his next pin!

Well I need to return my place to the motel office, then got sit on swing and read for awhile before venturing out for dessert and fuel. -- Paula

:clap:Glad your are having a great time. Wish the dates were better so I could have joined that ride. The views around the lakes are fantastic. Enjoy.

Mike, check the MN forum...Les & I have planned another ride in August. Hope you can make that one!

Paula; I have the date penciled in but may end up in Costa Rica that week. Still find I enjoy the challenge of work. The nice thing is spyder is easy to pack and if the work is completed I'm ready to go.

Sounds like you hit the jackpot Paula. Glad your trip has gone well so far, (mostly, the sting doesn't count) See you tomorrow, continue to be safe.

It is 7:44am and I am packed up and ready to find some breakfast. COFFEE!!!!!! Slept like a baby, amazing what 300+ miles will do, when it's your first 300 miles solo! The skies are clear again, suns coming up (oh I feel a song coming), better get going, I need to make it to the bridge before Seth!

Made it! Going over the bridge was AWSOME! And I got to do twice in one day, once by myself and then with whole group (24 people and about 16 Spyders) Had quite the experience with my motel...one night instead of two, asked if I was with the "can am" group...said yes,was told they can't all come over here you know...I left went across the street and Deb hooked me up with room...she is wonderful! Well, we are having a bonfire and I hear a 's'more calling my name!

Today was our Lake Superior day...rode up to Saulte St. Marie, got to see an ore boat go truth the locks...had some lunch (all this in the rain)...head to Paradise, then to Taquamegon (sp) Falls State Park (sunny)...headed down to Lake Michigan...then back to the motel...late supper and fireworks over Lake Huron! What a day.

6:30am not quite up and at 'em...but almost. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate much better today. Not sure how far I"ll get today, not pushing it like Seth but I want to make into Wisconsin for sure. This has been truly a great experience, so glad Butch let me steal the Spyder and do this, he's a pretty great guy! Well I'd better get up going!
