• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SOLD OUT

Dealer here in Denver said they were sold out of the RT-S with no more available this year. Anyone else been told samething?:yikes:

Budke Powersport (awesome dealership) in North Platte, NE (308-532-4339) still have Spyders...heck would be a nice ride to get it back home!!!

My dealer had 4 or 5 RT's a couple of weeks ago and said he would not be able to get any more after those were sold.

Missing RT's

I ordered from Dockside Marine in IL because they had one coming in that week. I knew they were in short supply from talking to other dealers. I agreed to buy the one they had coming, even though it was more than I wanted model-wise. It was supposed to be in within a a couple days. I have my trailer and my car set to tow - but no RT. That was three weeks ago.:gaah:

So they will mainly be list price.......but thats just better for the owners......just ask all the rs or gs guys, nothing like seeing someone selling them for thousands less than you payed, this should not be my friends.....most of the time its a gimick not a real deal, but it still hurts everyone.

It would not make me unhappy to know someone else paid less than I did. I would say "congratulations Bro" I am happy for you. Lower prices are good for everyone in the community of owners. Lower prices mean more sales which means better dealers and more investment in the training of service personnel. It also means the dealers may be willing to invest in maintenance parts inventory. At the current level of sales, BRP cannot sustain a national dealer network for Spyders. This is why Spyders are often treated as orphans within the dealer's family of brands.

Price matters! Everyone has a price threshold for the products they purchase. It would be wrong to pretend there is no price elasticity in the demand for Spyders. Lower prices equals more vehicles sold. More Spyder owners is good.

Absent price fixing, we will never all pay the same price.

Dealers around here are also touting the "we're not getting any more this year". Whether that's because BRP isn't making them or the dealer isn't ordering, etc I'm not sure. But they're definitely not making deals. They're very strong on list price and not flexible. If they were flexible or offering deals, my bf would have bought one by now. *fistshake*

My dealer, Seminole Power Sports, in Sanford, Flarda, has a "timeless black" RTS and a silver RTS on the floor. There are also a couple of RS's as well. I didn't ask if they'd move on their list price. However, there are RTS's available which I think was the topic.

My dealer, LandAir in Essex Jct. Vermont has a Blue RT with trailer in the showroom. I'm not sure if they can get any more or not.

I stopped by a dealership today to get new spark plugs since I was in their area. They only had 3 Spyders on the floor, 1 2009 SE5, 1 2009 SM5, and 1 2010 SM5. That was it, nothing else available at all from them.

I can see you disagree and my friend i can understand.....heres what I am talking about I just saw an ad for rs for 10,900.00 So all thos who have rs and are asking a fair used price around this dealer are now fighting this.....not sure i would call it PRICE FIXING....thats pretty harsh, but there are set prices, its called MSRP or list price. Were always willing to deal from there. It was once said the bitternesss of poor service is far more long remembered then the sweetness off a cheap price. Just saying i'd rather give some one a good deal and still be able to take care of my customer or new friend. If I have made no money then I no money to take care of them, also have a four year old little boy who depends on me making a living. When Dealers start running adds like the, not real 10,900.00..... deal it makes it hard on us and others to run a real dealership plus it so devalues our customers bikes......look whats already happening to the rs market. I agree a lower price from Corp would be graet a cheaper Spyder would be great, and would get them in more hands and more of them out there....but it has to start at the top not from the dealers, but am with you no dealer should take better care of there customers, owers we consider friends.....even other spyder owners that stop by quickly become friends and we see and hear from them all the time......just put a thread what do you think of CowTown and see if its not true. Any way hope all is well for you,and your dealer takes great care of you. Any spyderlover or ryder is a friend here and we offer 25% off on all clothing and apperal. Thanks to all

We are not so far apart. We share a passion for riding motorcycles, and particularly the Spyder (most likely anything with a motor). We have a common interest in the success of the Spyder brand. For you this is both personal and commercial. We both want the economics of the business to be able to sustain long-term growth and good health. We both want a strong deal network with well trained service personnel. It should be possible to accomplish this in a way that benefits both the dealer and the customer.

You have been a strong supporter of the community of Spyder owners, and particularly the members of Spyderlovers.com. I hope this benefits your dealership in some tangible way. I would like to see our group reciprocate by buying their next Spyder from CowTown, if this is feasible for them. In most cases it would not be feasible, but in some cases it could be quite doable. In my particular case, there would be no obstacle to buying my next Spyder out-of-state. For years, I would buy my new Harleys in Michigan and register them in Florida. I have owned many motorcycles and my Spyders are the only ones I have ever purchased in Florida.
