• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Smooth Spyder Tensioner - Advice needed

My belt does this in reverse with or without the tensioner!
Most will probably agree this is normal.
Maybe you're just noticing it now?

Good news

Hey a big thanks Bob, I think your right, well I hope so. I've never looked at the belt in reverse. I feel a lot better now, time to hit the road,

SMOOTH SPYDER

I recently installed my smooth spyder tensioner on my 2014 RT-S and set the tension to about 10-lbs. This based on the instructions by Jim and the scale provided. I took it for a ride today and didn't feel the lower speed vibrations, around the 55-60 mph range. I did however feel really bad vibrations in the 70-75 mph range. They felt worse than I remember before the tensioner.

So, my questions are... How much can I tighten the tensioner; to what force (pounds) can I go before it becomes a problem or an issue on the belt? Is there anything I should check? Has anyone else experienced this? Any other suggestions?

Smooth SPYDER Bill tensioner on my 2013 SPYDER RT Limited it took out all of the vibrations and work perfectly I would direct any questions toward Capt. Jim, he is a very nice andknowledgeable person he will be a big help to you and he knows his product best of luck Ron

Job done

It's now on the road and tested out fine. Needed to trim the guard but that was always going to happen,

hydrographic printing

Hi Bob, yes it is, I did a thread on it on this forum from start to finish. It's really easy to do and once you've done it you will do on everything.
I also did the frunk in Plasti dip, matt black, to stop the stone chips. Im now looking into some clear 3m film for my new airbrush snake lid.

Beauty is when you get fed up with it you either respray it or just dip it again. ;-)
