• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shock Setting

Where do you who have adjustable shocks usually keep them set? My service manual says for 200 lb rider with passenger you should set them at max. This makes for a very harsh ride on my 2011 RT. What notch do you have yours set and do you adjust them often?

It's really up to you, but I weigh 185 and I have mine in the 4th notch. I tried in the 3rd notch for a while and found improvement by going up one. I haven't tried it at maximum at all. My wife rides along quite often and it seems to do just fine where I have it set. Make sure your front tire pressure is in the 20psi neighborhood, that'll help a little with the harshness. Too firm a tire will make it a harsher ride with a bit of "bounce" off the bumps. Don't make too many adjustments at once. Work into them slowly and individually so you know what works for you.

A lot may depend on how you ride, and your own perception of comfort...
I used #5 on mine until I got the Elkas for it...
(My 2010 RT had a set of 2011 shocks...)

Once you find the most comfortable setting; it's usually a "Set it & forget it" kind of adjustment...
