• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK, now that I have your attention.....
I have been noticing a high speed vibration. It is intermittant and almost feels like it is going from peg to peg. If I put my feet on the highway pegs - no vibration, only on the main pegs. I feel it at 55 - 65mph in 5th.
I wonder if maybe my belt is loose and "shimmies" at these velocities?

Anyone else felt/have these on/off peg vibrations? Any ideas?

I am turning 4150-4200rpm at 60mph -

It probably is the drive belt harmonics. I run mine on the low end of the tightness specs and it pretty much disappears. It's also easier on the rear bearings.

:agree: Please note: most machines will exhibit harmonic vibrations somewhere in their operating range. The trick is to try to get this band as narrow as possible (the engineer's job), and to adjust tires, drivetrain, and motor tune-up (where possible) to a place where the vibration is not in your normal operating range. You may have to play with the belt tension a bit to get this, depending on how you normally ride.

Is there a "how to" concerning adjusting belt tension on the site?
