There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Service for RT 622 trailer

Making final preparations for Spyderfest. Spyder is ready, now for the trailer. Contacted the dealer, they said it would run between $200-$300. Now it seems to me that the only things that need serviced are the wheel bearings.
Does anybody know how difficult it is too do this service, :dontknow::helpsmilie:

I just had my 2012 RT in for a full service, oil change, radiator fluid, brake pad check and what ever else they do. Plus I had my 622 trailer bearings packed. The total inc labor, parts and tax was 298$ for everything. So 200-300$ for just your trailer seems very high to me. I would call around, any trailer place could pack your bearings.

Um yeah.
I think for the same amount or less I could fly out to your place and do it.

But seriously, yeah its pretty simple.
Pull the caps off and make sure there's grease in there, but don't over pack it. You need to leave some space for heat expansion.

Check the coupler make sure nothing has come loose.
Check the wheel bearings and seals
Check the tightness of frame fasteners
Lub the key barrel using cable lube
inspect the lights
check the tires for wear

Do all that every year, the greasing every 7500 miles

You should have received an owners manual with your RT-622. It has a maintenance schedule.

Every year:
Check coupler condition and tighten coupler fasteners.
Check tires condition and wear.
Inspect wheels for damage.
Check wheel bearing seals.
Inspect lights for any damage and proper operation.
Check cover latches and cables including safety latch cable operation and lubricate cables if necessary.
Lubricate key barrel using cable lube.
Check tightness of frame fasteners.

Every 7,500 miles:
Verify and grease wheel hub bearings.
Verify and grease coupler mechanism.
Verify coupler safety cable condition.

I agree that the bearings are the most important...and should be cleaned and repacked once or twice every year, regardless of mileage. The other items are important, too, however...don't neglect them. BTW, although BRP does not list the hub bearings or seals, they are available from bearing supply houses. There are some standard trailer bearings/seals that may work, but check the sizes closely. And don't forget to check the tire air pressure, inspect the shocks and adjusters, and check the shock fasteners for tightness.
