When removing the rear tupperware or valance, be gentle, those tabs break easily. Super glue won't get it, JB Weld almost.... then I tried the JB Weld Super Glue with UV Light hardener - GAME CHANGER! I also used the method of a piece of Styrofoam sheet soaked in super glue then the UV Light to harden it in order to build up thickness, I like! The rear slot for the tabs on the case is very narrow, making it a challenge to insert. I used the Dremel to widen the slot aboot 1/4" for easier install... also removed about 1/3 of the threads on the back side of the clip on nut, effectively making the slots wider for easier install...
I adjusted the cable to what I thought was good, BUT the curves and twists in the cable DO take out some of the slack, so I went back and shortened the casing 1 more turn account for this... Then reinstalled it, all good, and seems fine now.
**Final thought, IF the case does pop open while on the road, I'd hate to dump the contents at 70MPH... so I'm thinking of adding small tie rings or loops on the inside to add a small strap or Bungee, just to hold the contents together and inside to prevent the dumping.
Anybody tried this?
