• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Service Bulletin for failure to shift into reverse - 2024 RT Limited

My dealer contacted me to let me know that there is a service bulletin from Can-Am to replace the reverse actuator. In hot weather, the bike may not shift into reverse. Not all 2024s will have the problem, but all can be updated at no cost. My 2024 had that problem today as the temps got above 97° F. Once it cooled down, it worked again. Mine will be going in for the fix this week.

My 2024 S2S had the issue in April 2025 in the cold and BRP also changed it under warranty.
It’s a known issue by BRP, with a service bulletin here in Canada, not sure it’s an official recall elsewhere

Yeah, these documents frequently get smashed together and referred to on-line as "recalls". When actually, an official Recall is fairly rare.

This is a Warranty Campaign. Only applies if an owner has experienced the problem. See Note at top of first page. Not fixed universally. If a dealer is getting a bit "flexible" with that, then good for him. The Mother Ship has identified a known problem and given pre-approval to the dealers to do the work under a warranty claim. 2024 owners should also make note of the expiration date.

Talking with the service guys, they tell me the problem really only exists with the 2024 model year. There may be some late build 2023's and early 2025's, but it is mostly confined to the 2024's. BRP changed suppliers for the solenoid (it actually has a different part number), the problems started, and once identified, they went back to the other supplier and part number.

They said when they first discovered the problem, they thought the customer had a bad solenoid, so they replaced that, but it didn't solve the problem. Turned out both solenoids came from that same batch of bad parts. Since the second solenoid didn't fix the problem, they tore down the transmission and could not find any problems there. By then, BRP had tested the first bad solenoid and found the issue. The customer was not happy with this problem on his brand new bike.

Took them less than an hour to swap the solenoid. So far, so good. It was over 100° at times today and it worked perfectly.
