There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sad news from Michigan...

If possible, try to make the memorial for Saturday. That way the weekenders (us among them this year) can be there. If it's possible. :doorag:

I've talked to Len and we've lost a few other Spyderlovers this year as well as Mike... so we'd like to have a simple memorial at Spyderfest for those we've lost.

Let's keep the memories of those we've lost alive.

I never met him but, from the stories told here by those that did, he sounds like someone that I would enjoy riding with. My condolences to his family and friends.

Here is a picture of Mike from Lamont's BBQ in 2011, of course he had on his trademark tie dyed shirt.

Sounds as if he was my kind of guy...

.....A wacky sense of humour and always waiting for an opportunity to amuse.
As was mentioned as we get older it seems that we lose our friends at an alarming rate.

My sincerest condolences to SomeGirl.

You know...I get the impression that Mike wouldn't have wanted any sadness at
his passing but we are human and we are going to miss him an awful lot.

I shall bring a tie-dye shirt with me from England for that memorial day.

I thought I had more pics of Mike than this. Here is what I have.

Reading this thread is a trip down memory lane. I too, met Mike at SITS. What a great evening with him and others at the Red Roof as Yazz tutored us on eating hot dogs. I was with Mike and Dan when he was brandishing the whip around North Carolina and Tennessee. . What a great guy. He was always so happy to see everyone and always had nice things to say. And those god aweful tiedye Tshirts! It was his trademark.

He will be missed!

Hello all my fellow Spyderlovers,

It is with a sad heart that I must report that we have lost a member of our Spyderlovers family.

Mike Such , or Someguy as he was known out here, passed away at his home over the weekend due to multiple organ failures.

Mike and I became fast friends after meeting up at Scotty's (Nancy's Toy) for a gathering. From then on we became riding buddies and rode and roomed on many trips to Spyderfest, Spyders in the Smokies and of course Lamont's BBQ's.

Mike was a character for sure.. as anyone who met him can attest to. He liked to be in the thick of things, joking and having fun... something we all need to do!

I'd like this thread to be dedicated to Mike and for everyone to share a funny story about Mike if you have one......

Thanks.
I first met Mike in 2010 at Spyders in the Smokies.
I spent a few hours with Mike, Dan, Yazz, and Steve at Smokies Bar also. What a great time!! He kept us laughing all the time with his stories and quick wit.
As others have said, I always looked forward to seeing him at Spyder events! He always had a smile on his face and a funny story.
I too remember his tie dye shirts, and whenever I saw someone else with one, or in a store, you had to think about Mike!
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
Our prayers go out to Mike's family and Carroll.

I first met Mike in Spyderfest 2013 and became friends immediately. He was always a very happy positive person. The best day we had we did the Bikes on the Bricks in Flint, we had a great time and he stayed until late in the night. Mike was proud of the fact that he had attended every Spyderfest. At Spyderfest 2014 he helped me and Cruzr Joe do a modification to my spyder and on Friday night was there to party with us. I will miss him as a friend and am sorry to here of his passing. My wife and I send you all of our prayers for Carol (some girl) and the family.

The picture attached show his trademark of tie-dyed. For the Michigan meet and greet that I am putting together on March 28th I am going to make the theme tie-dyed in honor of Mike (some guy).

So sad to hear

I met someguy in HELL! .......Hell Michigan that is! ...........Extremely easy guy to talk to, can't believe he's gone but I'm convinced he rode his Spyder to the best Spyderfest of all, north bound if you get my drift.
R.I.P.

A few pics I found.... guess which one was taken after what is known as the 'hot dog incident'........lol

The other is up on Clingman's Dome... and the last one was Mike's brilliant idea for a Spyder Lock.......
