• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryding next week

We camped for 2years with a Bunkhouse popup, pulled it all over the county. You mite add a electric cord and a small heater, great for those cold nights . Also try the Corp. of engineers campgrounds with senior pass only cost $9.00 to $12.00 a night with elect/water, clean shower most of time.

Like I said, I couldn't leave until after church, so I was really trying to keep going Sunday. I saw a sign directing me to Dalton Graves and then remembered I was in Coffeyville, Kan. But I didn't stop. Then as I drove through Oolagah, Okla., there was a sign showing how to get to Will Rogers birthplace. I'm going to have to plan a week or so to just go meandering in my region and stop to see all those things.

 That unit is a LOT larger than I expected.
How did it tow?

It tows just fine. The only way I really know it's there is when I look in the rear-view. On an RT with the 622, I couldn't even see it. On my F3T pulling this, I look in the side-mirror and get startled that something is following so closely before I realize it's my trailer. The top of it is higher than the 622 and it's wider (about as wide as the Spyder's front wheels).

I spent the last two nights at Cruzr Joe's, and spent yesterday at Harvey's (SpyderPops). He did the initial service on my F3T, added a Ron Bar, engine lights and grill lights.

Today my plan was to ryde to Eureka Springs and stay at the KOA, then go on to Springfield tomorrow. When I got to Harrison, Ark, the sign said 50 miles to Eureka Springs and 70 miles to Springfield. So I figured I'd go on to Springfield and stay in a nice hotel for two nights instead of just one. So tomorrow, I'll do some laundry and ship the items I'm selling.

The ryde today was stressful a few times. I was almost sideswiped twice and almost t-boned once. On the freeway near Little Rock, a guy got onto the highway and moved directly across a couple lanes to the one just to my right. I was in his rear quarter and he just kept coming. I hit the horn and he swerved back to his lane. Then, when I was looking for a lunch place I was in the right lane of a surface street with business entrances all along the right. A woman in a mini-van in the left lane just decided she had to be where I was and just went there. I braked hard and hit the horn, but she must have been deaf. I followed her in to the parking lot while formulating just what I was going to say to her. But I didn't confront her; I wish I had. Then I went on to the restaurant and as I moved into the turn lane to make a left, a pick-up driver wanting to pull out to his left started moving and then stomped on his brake when he realized I was right in front of him.

So later I was at an Arkansas welcome center where I'd stopped to sit in some a/c while I worked on lodging reservations. As I was getting ready to head out, two guys rode in on Harleys and parked a bit away from me. By the time I got geared up and engine running, I realized one of the HDs was on it's right side (well, sort of; it was propped up by the saddle bag and roll-bar). He was trying to pull it up and his friend was trying to push from the other side. I rode over and tried to help lift and another man come and helped. After it was upright the owner just stood back and the other stranger had to prompt him to put his side-stand down before we all relaxed.

I'm going to get some night pics of my new lights and will post them here later.

Here's a pic of my Spyder with the engine light and grill lights. I also added LED headlights. The engine lights can be about any color, but Harvey and Joe both told me that red and blue were illegal in Arkansas, so I choose purple.

so, the front is the bunk, the back is the dressing room/dry storage? Is there room for luggage under the bunk? Can you get at it? Is there a rack for a cooler on the tongue ? Air/heat? Potty? Hot tub? Do you have to strap stuff on the seat?
Any issues with plug/lights/ electrical? Is there a rack on top to strap stuff on? Do you need to? Yikes! Mukluk was easier, and had 120 dogs!

Sounds like you had a busy day. Be safe out there.

Here's a pic of the trailer when closed, Joe. The bunk is the base of the trailer. I have a 3" memory foam mattress to sleep on and it's really comfy. The storage inside when opened is the dressing area, which is formed when the top of the trailer folds open. The inside of the top becomes the floor. I don't have a cooler rack on the tongue, but I'm going to add one. I carry my clothes, etc. in a dry-bag either on my back seat or on the rack on top of the trailer. That way I'll have what I need if I decide to stay at a hotel instead of camp. Inside the camper I carry only what I'll need for camping. I'm carrying a heavy extension cord, small fan, shop light, flashlight, electric kettle, coffee stuff. If I'm going to stay at high altitude or during cold weather, I can add a small space heater. No hot tub or potty. My brother made an adaptor so it could be hooked up to my Spyder. Otherwise, it works just fine behind my car.

Yes, Mukluk was easier. But how often do I get to the Yukon?

Patti,
That's a GREAT looking rig!
I noticed that they offer a pod up front, and an aluminum storage box under the rear; as options.
Do you feel as if the additional storage capacity is necessary? :dontknow:

I have the aluminum box, but it's not installed yet. I just didn't get it done yet. I'm not really sure what I'd put in it, actually. The storage pod was an option the original owner didn't get, and the manufacturer won't sell it separately. So I'm going to build a bracket to carry something like a large tool box or cooler.
