• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have an 08 gs with 20k miles and it started running rough today and check engine light flickered and went off, is there normal maintenance I should do to it before I bring to dealer?
plugs?, valve adjustment? What's do at this mileage?

My 2010 RT did the same thing last year. I tried injector cleaner and fuel treatment but it ended up being the 2 small hoses from the MAP sensor to the tthrottle body. Couldn't see the cracks until they were pulled off. Replaced both hoses and ran like new.

My 2012 RTS is doing the same thing and is at the dealer. Will this show up on buds?

If while it is running rough you press MODE-SET_TURNSIGNAL CANCEL all at once an error code or codes shows then it will show up in BUDDS, most likely a lean condition in one or both cylinders.

Mine did the same thing last year. After checking it out the two small lines had hair line cracks but I also changed to iridium plugs and the 8.8 mm wires as they were dried n looked cracked. But I'd check the two small lines first. I'm right up the hill on Middletown Rd if you need a hand or not sure were the two hoses are.

See this....

But they are drying out and start leaking. Good place to start looking :lecturef_smilie:

i will look into the hoses tonight and change plugs and wires, did i see you saturday afternoon on the northway around 5ish near colonie? wife and i were 2 up headed south

SILICON Hoses...highly rcommended

Rather than the OEM's....if dealer doesn't have...you buy and most dealers will install (that was my experience!!)....

They are under the left side panel upper area between the cylinder heads. There are two, use silicone 4mm hose cut to the same length to replace them. They last much longer...

Yes that was me and the wife coming back from Thatcher's park.

thats funny we were heading to her sisters camp just past thatcher park, great ride up that way and nice and cool.
let me look into my issues this week and hopefully an easy fix and we will have to get together for a ride

Hoses are like bar and new, I pulled them off and checked for any cracks and none found so gonna do plugs and wires, probably going to order from Baja Ron as they are better and cheaper than Oem at dealer

Sounds like a plan. I can't ride in like weather today due to health problems. But yeah we'll get together for a ride soon. Good luck with the spyder.

I looked up on YouTube on how to access the throttle body on an RT. Do you really have to pull off all the front tupperware just to access those two rubber hoses that folks are telling me to check?

Good news one my running issue, plug wires were dry rotted and cracked, replaced wires and plugs with set from BajaRon and after a 45 mile test drive I can report that problem has been resolved and I am happy again.

a big thank you to BajaRon for having better parts cheaper and faster than local dealer
