RTS trailer hitch install

What is involved in the installation of a BRP trailer hitch on the 2014 RTS?

If it is the same as the pre '14's it is the most simplest thing you can do on the spyder. Simply slide it on, insert the long bolt through the rear wheel axle slide on the washer and put the nut on with carter key. that's it. Lamont has a video that shows how to do it. It only takes 5 or 6 minutes to put it on or take it off. I've had mine on and off many times.

Installing the lighting module is the time consuming part. I installed mine (2013 RT L) in just under three hours.

So that's why the dealer wants to charge me 1.5 hrs. labor to do it.
I will more than likley do it myself.

Dealer may have included the time to install the wiring. Just learned the factory has recalled the '14 harness. Hitch itself is a no brainer.

Little advise, i takes three hands to put the hitch on the first time and be extremely careful with the right side.

on my 2014 RTS and what is the recall on the wiring harness? OK 2 questions!

I believe that Jester was talking about a trailer module that I returned to PitBull because it was defective and Len is waiting on some replacements.

I put a 11 hitch on a 14, a10 hitch on a 10 and then a 13. All seem to fit fine.
