• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here's my problem, I have a 2010 RTS and I Met up with some friends for a ride. Got to the meeting point and turn the bike off for about ten minutes.I try to start it up, I turn the key everything came on all cluster lights look fine. I press the button clear the screen then press the the starter and the the bike died completely, no light, no nothing. I try to start it again and the cluster started flashing and the tach and speed gages peg out. I turned the key off and the cluster stay on flashing for an additional 30 sec. I was thinking maybe it was the battery. We try jump starting it with a car and that didn't work. Called for a tow truck and tow it to the house thinking the battery was bad. Once I got it home I put it on a charger to see if that might be the problem. I got a green light saying the battery was charged and tried it again and The same thing happen again! I never got an error or fault light. I checked all fuses that I can see. I guess I need to take it to the dealer next. has anyone heard of this happining before. I would like to get an idea of what's going on? :dontknow:

If it were mine I would make absolutely certain the battery and ground connections were tight and the relays were all plugged in tightly.

When you first turn on the key you should hear the purge pump.
I bet either you have a bad prestarting relay or it isn't mounted properly.

Replaced battery everything Good! :2thumbs:

Before I saw the last post, I was going to say bad battery. What happened was that your battery wasn't holding a very good charge. When you hit the starter button, the high demand drained almost all that was left. After that, even the electronics didn't have enough amperage to work properly. So, just curious, how many years did you get out of that battery?
