There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. RT vibration issue

I have 2015 RT ltd se 6 and experience intermittent vibrations at highway speedways, but only on interstate type roads. At first I thought it was the NY roads, but experienced the same in Canada ☹️. At the 3000 check the belt tension was check and correct. The vibration is not in the steering only in the seat and floor boards. Aggravating to say the least. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's most likely belt vibration. There is no one specific "correct" belt tension. The correct range is something like 600 newtons to 1200 newtons. The correct tension for your bike is the one that puts the vibration into a speed range you can readily live with. If you haven't already, do a search on belt tension. You'll read stuff until your eyes get bleary. Somewhere in them is a copy of the tech service bulletin that describes what the range should be.

Vibration!!

Cleg, I can so relate. I came on the site to ask the very same question to the forum to get some feedback on this very issue. I have put on almost 5000 miles on my 2014 RT se6. We just did a 400+ mile ride this past weekend and I seem to have a low level vibration that I feel mostly in my butt and thighs starting around 70 miles an hour on up. I also noticed that if I move around in the lane a bit I can temporarily stop the vibration but comes back when the bike is running straight and true. Since we ride mostly on country roads to enjoy the scenery and less traffic it really hasn't been much of an issue but this weekend we did a 40 mile stretch on the interstate reminding me it's still there. I guess I'll see if I can find that bulletin on belt tension. Any other riders dealing with this issue?

You didn't mention the speeds at which you felt the vibration...
But based upon it's location: I'd bet that it's in the drivebelt. nojoke

It's the belt! The vibration usually happens starting at approx 68 mph and will oscillate (vibration off and on) up till you're over 80mph. There are aftermarket belt tensioners (smooth spyder) that will help. There is a youtube video where the guy mounted a gopro camera where you can see the belt vibration (before and after belt tensioner). It's the belt! Too bad BRP hasn't addressed this...least not that I've heard.

it also will depend on what gear you are in.
if I am below 70 I need to be in 5 gear above that 6 gear is fine unless there is an incline.

The speed the vibration occurs varies by bike. If you adjust belt tension it moves the vibration to a different speed. You can minimize it with a belt tensioner. It does make it better. It's the nature of the beast. It is at times irritating. Spend the approximately 300$ and minimize it or avoid the range you feel it in. I have had 3 Spyders and had it on all 3. People may disagree with this but that's what I have experienced. I haven't put a tensioner on this bike...yet. I feel vibes at 72-75 and either drive slower or sometimes faster, usually slower.

I had the same issue, the dealer replaced the front tires and after several balances the problem is gone. it also improved the steering pull. I still plan to install Baha Ron sway bar when my pension check allows. the tires the can am supplies have a rep. for bad tread alignment according to my dealer.

good luck.

sorry
I miss read the post, my 2015 spider still vibes at 65 mph. the tires were more at low speed and in the steering. I did not have any highway vibe until just after 3500 miles. trying to cure that one now!
