Runk or Bunk.

I get no indication on the panel when any of the four doors on my RT-a/c are ajar.Update:
I had never paid close attention to the "Rear Cargo Door Is Open" alarm before. As I said, it is an orange screen that appears across your entire display. I found that there is a five second delay before the warning shows. Not sure if any of this changes when you are moving.
I can't see the switches, either, but the wiring diagram shows them, and my RTS shows alarms for all three rear doors. There is no alarm for the front, since it stays closed when moving. Sounds like some folks have some electrical or adjustment problems.I get no indication on the panel when any of the four doors on my RT-a/c are ajar.
The only time I've seen the "orange screen of death" is when I had the seat sensor disconnected... and you're right, the full orange screen changes to an orange notice on the bottom of the screen. I know that there is a micro switch on the frunk, but can't see where the switch/s are hidden on the side and rear doors.
There is supposed to be an indicator to let you know when one of the trunks pops open. Mine never did work.:gaah:After installing a new airbag fitting, and replacing all of the tupperware on the back of the RT, I hit the road for a test drive. Driving down the interstate at 70mph I noticed a car alongside beckoning toward the back of the bike. One of my side bags was wide open. Luckily, nothing was stored inside at the time. I stopped, closed the cover, and all seems fine now. As added insurance, I may add some internal bungee straps on the side bags as an extra precaution. If they were to pop open "in flight", you'd lose everything. :gaah:
Looking at the wiring diagram, I see the switches (four of them?). The three for the rear doors are normally open. I also notice that they seem to feed through a controller labled "CSS Compressor Suspension Switch" which is shown dotted in the diagram. I'm thinking that this controller is not included on all of the RT's. Could it be that they only work on the RT-S with the adjustable air system??? :dontknow:I can't see the switches, either, but the wiring diagram shows them, and my RTS shows alarms for all three rear doors. :dontknow: You are right, they do feed through the suspension switch from (to?) the cluster. I can think of no logical reason why they would only have these alarms on the RTS, but unless there is an alternate arrangement for the switch wiring on the other models, it is possible that they are limited to the one version. It is possible that they merely use the suspension switch as a connector, and directly connect PIC1-M and PIC1-N when the switch is not fitted. Odd stuff!!! Someone with another model RT needs to rattle the dealer's cage or BRP support, to find out why their alarms do not work. Was this something overlooked in engineering? :dontknow:Looking at the wiring diagram, I see the switches (four of them?). The three for the rear doors are normally open. I opened all the storage doors on my RT and then drove slowly down the street and NO warning light came on. Are there warning lights for open doors/lids/trunk?
