Neither. We stock and install high quality Yokohama tires for the front. Do not care for the chinese imports.

Are These Grand Touring All-Season Tires the Way of the Future? (06:25)
Some drivers can be successful with a single tire solution for their year-round mobility needs. To see how three new three-peak mountain snowflake-branded tires perform and what, if any, tradeoffs come along with this enhanced snow traction, we did a Real World Road Ride and Performance Track Drive.

There have been comments & complaints that those tests were done using Cars not Spyders and therefore are totally Invalid ............ I've been to school on this and I feel they are valid .... I have yet to see a highly rated tire become a Crappy tire just because it's on a Spyder annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I've yet to see a poorly rated tire become a Great tire when used on a Spyder ..... For Spyders using Car tires it's ALL about what PSI you are using ....... JMHO ( and probably Peter Aawen's also ) ................... Mike :thumbup:Yep, there's a lot of good info at that link
I haven't seen a lot of comments and complaints. What I've seen is people trying to get clear, unambiguous answers to their questions about tires from the experts, including yourself. Speaking from experience, that isn't always easy to do on this forum. I don't think anyone is trying to deliberately mislead anyone. I think it's because there are NO independent tests of car tires on Spyders, so everything is conjecture and narrative about experiences folks have had with them. There have been comments & complaints that those tests were done using Cars not Spyders and therefore are totally Invalid ............ I have run both on the RT and I prefer the Formoza. That’s what I’m running on my F3T now as well. They handle great and should last you upwards of 30,000 miles. Another benefit of the Formoza is it is asymmetrical so you can rotate them without dismounting and remounting the tire on the wheel.Good or bad on front of Spyder RT-S?

What model yokahomas for the RT-S 2014
I have no comment on the Formosa, as I haven't tried them. But I did have the Federal 595 EVO on my 2014 RT, and I loved them. That is definitely what is going on my F3T when the need for new rubber arrives. I actually didn't know how bad the OEM tires were until using the 595's. The bike had around 18k when I installed them, and rode/drove better than the day it was delivered.Good or bad on front of Spyder RT-S?

In truth, I think that since the stock Kendas are so crappy, anything else is a vast improvement!......
No we don't.think we need more tire and oil threads on the forum. Couple hundred aren't enough
Federal made changes to EVO and I guess decided not call it EVO II - I think the Formoza is a better tire than the EVO was ...... Michelin did much the same with the Defender , they now make the Defender - T&H, which has improved All around Performance ratings .......There are still " EVO's " for sale but they OLD stock & eventually will dis-appear like the Michelin Hydro-Edge did ...........Mike :thumbup:A month or so ago I went to the Federal web site and Fount the Formoza but could not find the Evo listed at all. Am wondering if the Evo has been discontinued. Easy enough to tell if someone would post a 2018 manufacturing date on their new Evos.
