• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am posting this here because of all the excellent expertise is on the forum:D.I went to check on the progress of my bike having the t/b replaced. now the dealer cant get it to start it has no power but i do have flasher's and my led's work?? the dealer says he has no idea what the problem is. when you turn the key the gauges seem to jump and the screen kinda flickers:yikes: . so has anyone seen this problem?? i cant get them to fix my t/b untill they can get it started. Been over a month now sure would like to ride again, please let the ideas flow

Your dealer should be on the Phone to BRP, I know this does not help you but I would lose confidence in a dealer who could not get my spyder started and "admitted" to me:dontknow:

Charge battery, check all battery connections to include grounding conneection for jump start, push in all fuses and relays, if that dont work find an expert:D Oh and tell them to check all the connections that were even close to the work being done. Stupid question but kill switch checked?

It is a pitifully poor tech that can't troubleshoot and repair a problem like this. The lights mean nothing. I suspect a low battery, but they certainly should have the tools (and brains) to check. If the battery is low, they also need to check why. It may be the radio. Best of luck with these Bozos. I had the same problem with a 1978 GMC van once. After a month of driving their loaner, I told them to push it outside, and if I couldn't get it running before they closed, I'd sign the title over to them. I had it running in 15 minutes. They broke the distributor cap and a spark plug when they put the engine cover back on. :gaah:

CAll BRP yourself and get the bike out of that place

A MONTH? Like all have said, get it out of there. Call the BRP customer support line at 888-272-9222 or 819-566-3366. Last perwson I talked to was Chrystelle LaChance, don't know if Carlos returned or what happened to him, she was great and helped a lot.

No reason in the world for being treated like that.

Good luck and start kicking butt so you can ride again.:banghead:

Such a SAD state of affairs

BRP has an inside tech. line just for their dealers that have issues above their knowledge level and they should have been in contact with them L O N G ago. As suggested, get Chantelle or someone from BRP to light a fire under this dealers *ss. Teddy & I went through something similar, but that was over 2 years ago now. So sad to see stuff like this still going on. How DO these dealers stay in business?

RTless, I like that brother. JK. "Screw" Matt & them Bozo's @ "ConroePowerSports". Dead or extremely low voltage on the battery, mine did the same thing one day while playing the radio and tinkering.

Springcrawler, do you have any updates? My RT (blue) is suffering the same fate. Took the bike in there a month ago for a suspension problem and now they say it won’t start. Today they told me that something was wrong with the spark plug. Matt asked me if I installed any aftermarket or non OEM spark plugs. I giggled and told Matt that the spark plugs on the bike are what came with the bike from ProPowersports. The bike was running fine when I drove it up there and was also starting 2 weeks ago in the dealership’s possession and now NOTHING.

Springcrawler and Naillz are RTless in Houston. :banghead::banghead:

Wow what a difference 12 hrs makes,, i was called by the dealer 30 min ago saying the reason for no power was due to a fuse being blown by the throttle body going out he had talked to the tech line they told him to replace it... right now my throttle body is being replaced & i should pick it up after work tomorrow:pray: i want to say THANKS to all who responded to this thread & all the p.m. i got
i will say this has been a experience i am glad for all the brp contacts which this forum provided to me i did send emails to both the local rep & the one in Canada.. my local rep DID respond:thumbup: so kudos to him
i can only hope that my fellow rider from Tomball will start emailing & calling because that is what i believed help my cause..

To the spyder lovers everywhere i THANK all of you again

Great news. It's just sad that you have to do this to get the service you should have received in
the first place.

Holly crap!

I was RIGHT! All this time I thought I would never come through for the team. Ha ha old dog, new tricks!

Um I mean good for you!

Just received a call from Matt at Propower and the problem has been fixed. The problem per Matt was a computer glitch. The glitch must’ve occurred when they installed the new air compressor unit for the air suspension. We will see tomorrow if everything is AOK as Matt says it is. The glitch does not explain why the bike would run on one spark plug though. The tech replaced the ‘foul’ plug with another plug and it started. So what was causing it to start with just one plug even thought the glitch was still present in the system. :gaah: I’m very analytical and I believe that there is a reason for everything!

And now we're going to DOUBLE your pay!

Hi Springcrawler,

Man I'm so sorry to hear that you still don't have your spyder back yet! This is awful. My husband and I met you in Lubbock and you were without it for the owners event and now to read that you still don't have it after all this time...this is shameful. I do hope you get it back tomorrow finally and that you are ready to put some major miles on it. Take care :yikes:

Good to here Greg. Now let the good times roll.
Last night I helped a friend do an oil change on his 2011 RT and he said he had been getting a check engine light. So I took it for a ride and went into Limp Mode after about a mile. Guess what code I got. Yep Throttlebody. This is his third one, I sure hope they get this problem fixed soon.
