• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Handbrake ?

ISCI one of our site sponsors has the handbake for the RT. It may seem a bit expensive but read how it is built and you will see American engineering (all quality). Another thing to think about is what it does. I'm an old two wheel rider so I have the tendency of reaching for the hand brake plus throw in a bad ankle it gets used. When I do a power stop with the hand brake under my breah is a thank you ISCI. :2thumbs:

I look at the cost this way...

  1. It only takes one bad situation where the Handbrake would have kept us safe. So the cost is worth it.
  2. The quality of that product from ISCI is impossible to explain on a forum. It is knock your socks off supreme quality.
  3. BRP should have this as an option, and if they did I would bet serious money they would sell this kit for $1899-$2499 plus installation. I figure if they want $999 for a $200 HID kit :dontknow: or $799 for a $149 CB...
Did I mention the quality yet? :roflblack::ohyea:Not to mention the customer service is exactly what we want in a quality vendor...

Hand Brake for the RT

I have had the ISCI Handbrake on my RT for about a year now. I maintain that this is one of the best engineered aftermarket add-ons ever. It is well worth the price that I paid for it.

Just ordered mine this afternoon.
I have their foot pegs - first rate quality and good instructions.

I know the muffler has to come off - should I stop by the dealer and get a new gasket?

Honestly... If you have over 10k miles, I would because they are a fragile item that wears out pretty easy. To cheap to not replace while you are already there.

 All of the love shown for this addition now has me thinking...
More than one time I've grabbed for a lever that wasn't there and rolled further than I should. :cus: I guess that this little beauty is going to have to be added to my Wish-list now! :D

lol... Once bitten... :roflblack:

I will add this... Having both the RT and RS and these handbrakes in hand... It is going to remain in my top three purchase items for any Spyder we get in the future.

  1. Foot pegs
  2. (RS) handle bars (RT) 3rd brake light
  3. Handbrake
The rest is wants, not have to have for us... :spyder2::doorag::2thumbs:

It falls into the same category as saying a kiss from Angelina Jolie was disappointing because her lipstick wasn't the right color
Great job ISCI
She wuz wearin' lipstick???? :roflblack: :ohyea:
Now that THAT pleasant mental picture has passed... The crew at ISCI are real good at talking you through just about anything short of childbirth in the back of a pickup, so I'm sure that they'll see this and take another run at the paperwork...
