• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RS passenger foot peg extensions

I just received my foot peg extensions for my RS and I would like to know if it is as difficult as the instructions indicate. The instructions state that a qualified dealer install them, since I don't have one in my area I wish to install them myself. The instructions show that I remove my last 3 panels to get to where I need to be. I'm just curious if there is a simpler way since I have Givi saddle bags. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

My extensions are not made by BRP, but theirs don't look much different than mine. That being the case, it's not difficult at all and I don't see why you would have to remove any body panels.

Now I don't have the hard bags. They may add some difficulty to the task.

Best of Luck!

If you have extensive mechanical skills, there is probably no good reason you can't look carefully for some shortcuts. If not, however, it pays to follow the instructions. The manufacturers put a lot of time and effort into preparing the instructions...for a good reason. They are made to help either you or you or your tech get the job done quickly and efficiently. Remove your bags (and racks if they are the BRP bags), and follow along with the method that has been proven to work. At least that is my opinion. You learn fewer new cuss words that way. :D

I have found the BRP's instructions are very complete and reasonably easy tto follow... (for even me! :D). If I can manage them, I'd have to believe that there's nothing there that'll mess up anybody else!
Patience and reading, re-reading and re-re-reading them helps! Good luck!

:agree: wouldn't you just unbolt the peg itself and bolt the extention in it's place ??? Why would you need to remove any panels. My wife has been bugging me to get these.
