• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I use the Rotella T6 5w40 in both the 16 F3T and my 15 RT. It is JASO MA-2 rated and appears to work well with the 1330 SE6 platform. I used BRP's synthetic in the older 11 RT SM-5 but have run the Rotella for about 40,000 miles in each of our bikes. I too generally refresh the oil at 5,000 miles, but have the one analysis at a longer 8,000 miles and still acceptable viscosity. Your bike and riding parameters, but works for us and I can use the Rotella in my Kubota diesel as well:yes:

Hi there, do you use T6 Rotella in your RT. Because here in Canada at my local Canadian tire store they sell it but on it says on it diesel engine oil on it could that be.

That is exactly why I use it. Diesel oils have a much heavier engine protection additive package because their compression ratio is twice that of a gas engine's. Note that on the back label it says it's JASO MA2 rated - that's a motorcycle rating for wet clutches and cats.

I would like to switch from XPS oil to Rotella T6, but I see on the Shell website there is 2 different T6 oils, one is T6 extreme temperature and one is T6 multi vehicle. Which one is the correct one???

Don

The T6 Extreme Temperature is the one we are talking about.

I haven't seen that extreme temp version here. Maybe its because our climate is so moderate - no cold cold or hot hot.
