• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are the three space next to the parking brake wired for. I want to install USB ports. There is no switch in the three place but they 53B01F51-160D-49B7-86AC-AB73D389F7CC.jpgare all wired. 909CD0F0-57BA-4BAE-AD3A-6F872182D693.jpg

Few threads on this if you use the search bar. Off top of my head going L-R parkingbrake, heated grips, void, unknown, & foglights. Some are prewired & awaiting components to be installed handy. Some have diy things like USB charger & voltage meters. :2thumbs:

Starting from left to right 1) parking brake/frunk (some models) 2)heated grips 3) blank 4) suspension 5) driving lights(fog) lights. My memory is saying that 2 and 4 may be reversed. Any way I have a 2 usb port plug from can am spyder accessories.com in the center hole (#3). I wired it to work off of the power wire from the dash analog gauge on the right. That way they are only powered when the key is on.

Patching into the hot

So, since I don’t have any of the three accessories, is this a good place to patch into the hot wire.

Since I didn't do it that way,I don't know. Did you test ant of them to see if they are really hot? If so then just pick one and put a switch there.Pierre's switch that I used from CanAm Spyder Accessories should fit in any of those holes with a little work. Pierre is a sponsor here.

USB Port with a Voltmeter
Purchased from EBay

Red Dual USB 12V Car Boat Socket Rocker Switch Panel with Voltage Voltmeter

I cut a small rectangular hole in the switch panel of my 2013 STS and installed this USB outlet/voltmeter. Wired into my switched auxiliary fuse block.
Easy to read Voltmeter to monitor the charging system/battery and it provides access to High Amp USB for charging my Sena and Iphone.
So far the meter has sustained several thousand miles of riding, heavy rains and vigorous washings. Works great.
