There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Road Rage by a cager

I was on RT 128south yesterday going to my first client of the day (Near where RT128 crosses over Rt9).
A small grey Toyota RAV4 was very close behind me and i feared a rear end hit. I moved over, and he (older guy 50-60's)was yelling out the window while he was drifting over into my lane. Thankfully no know one was on my right side lane because I found myself drifting to avoid this guy. What an A^%$hole.

I was concentrating on driving instead of wanting to flip him the bird.

Oh and it wasn't for any slow driving on my part that's for sure...

Glad you made it without incident! I do hope you got the license plate # and filed a Citizens Report with the Sheriff's Dept. I just did that with a USCellular truck with out of state license a few weeks ago. There seems to have an unbelievable number of those crazy drivers on the roads these days.

Best thing to do is not get caught up in their 'act of mental deficiency' and keep yourself safe.

Seriously, I was nearly killed about 5 years ago when a driver with a bad case of road rage pushed the truck me and a friend was riding in off the road. The truck rolled 3 times and I was trapped inside but my friend didn't fair so well and was thrown from the vehicle, suffering head and brain injuries, and lingered in a coma 5 weeks before losing the battle. The driver that caused it walked away (despite open containers of alcohol in his vehicle and several witnesses). Justice has nothing to do with it anymore . . . it's like the Criminal Investigator told me when the case was dismissed "The wheels of justice turn slowly in Bubba County. It all depends on who ya know."

Right and wrong has nothing to do with it . . . ya just gotta keep your head together and keep yourself safe.

Rejoicing to be able to live to ryde another day

Wow! Sorry to hear.:ani29:

Wow! Sorry to hear.:ani29:

I hope everyone understands I didn't post those remarks for sympathy or to 'one-up' Sopher's experience . . . . it doesn't matter if we're on 2, 3 or 4 wheels . . . when someone is having a bad day (or life) decides to drive irresponsibly, the safest thing to do is to focus on your own safety and give them as much space as they need.

Ryde on!

I hate people like that.
Never had a problem on the bike except for one time w/ some dumba$$ woman on a cell phone on I91.

I have in the car so I pull over, let them pass and then chase them. I know it's not a good idea but I have a temper.

A Lady in CT got busted today fore throughing a Sonic Strawberry Shake at a Lady that cut her off it made the news perfect shot hit the Women and Her windshield :clap:Guess She was all Shakin Up :D

A lot of my frustration comes from others not having courtesy for bikers nor any common sense.

like;
never follow too closely to a biker (or Spyder!)
never pull in front of a biker when changing lanes (especially when the roads are crowded)
never attempt to talk to the biker when both vehicles are moving (duh!)
plus probably a few dozen more...

Last year when I was going down RT92south into downtown Boston, I had a driver come so close, that I turned around on the Spyder (while stopped!) and gave the driver a fist full of flipped bird.

Happened in Toronto ontario yesterday

:lecturef_smilie:A suspected incident of road rage involving two luxury vehicles in Scarborough played out like a scene from a Hollywood action movie, beginning with a minor bump and ending with a thunderous bang early Tuesday.
It was around 6:45 a.m. and the sun had just risen when a Cadillac and a Jaguar began racing south down Kennedy Rd., allegedly bumping each other along the way until finally, just south of Lawrence Ave. E., one was run off the road, according to Toronto Police.
"It was spectacular," said Sgt. Tim Burrows, of Traffic Services.
"They clipped each other and both drivers lost control," he said. "The Jag hit a pole, travelled across the front lawn of a house, struck the porch, then goes up on two wheels and slides between two vehicles parked in the driveway before ultimately smashing into the front of a second house."
It's unclear exactly what sparked the altercation between the 53-year-old woman driving the Jaguar and the 39-year-old man behind the wheel of the Caddy.
Investigators believe the two, who did not know one another, became upset for some reason.
The drivers, whose names were not released, are charged with one count each of stunt racing and careless driving.
The woman suffered minor injuries and the man was unharmed, he said.
The two houses on Kennedy Rd. sustained minor damage, as did the two parked vehicles.

Most cagers are just morons that have no driving skills. However, some are vendictive creeps that want to hurt you. I came across one of the latter last week. I am not even sure what I did to anger him, but he tried to get me; crossed my nose three times. I finally had had enough and lost my temper. I mean I lost it. It was not a smart thing to do, but I juked him into a mistake where he was out of position and then put my foot into his left window right at his head.

I was wearing riding boots, so no damage, but I scared him good. Traffic around us had backed off as they were watching what was going on. Right after the kick I backed off immediately, pulled over and waited for him to do the same. He didn't. But I was ready to take the situation to whatever level this @ss wanted to take it. And I was ready.

Looking back at the situation, I am kind of embarrased by my actions. It was a stupid thing for me to do. These people are not worth your freedom or getting hurt. I will not take this course of action ever again. From now on I will just back off and let them go. They are just not worth it man. You have to rise above and be the better man; on that day, I was not. An important lesson learned. :opps:

My RT was my first experience with bikes of any kind. When I had been riding only a few weeks, and the first time on the interstate, I was in the right lane doing about 65 mph. and watching mostly out of my left hand mirror at a steady stream of traffic. All of a sudden, a cager who had just come from an entry ramp passed me on the right hand shoulder doing about 90. I didn't see it happen until he was right at my side. Fortunately I didn't swerve left out of impulse, or I would have been killed instantly.

4 months later I am more experienced, watch both mirrors constantly, and am wary of the morons on the road.

Unfortunately, many harbor dislike for sports bikes and they take it out on all bikers. I ride with HD guys/gals, and they are the most polite people on the road. When on the road though, inevitably, some jerk sport bikes will be had weaving through traffic at ridiculous speeds.

Man you must have one long leg to be able to kick the window at his head level.:dontknow:

Reason for "road rage": "It's all about me, and not only am I right, but I'm gonna show you how right I am".

Reason for poor driving (as it relates to this thread)

People either are not focused, i.e., cell phones, texting, etc., or they do not know how to multi task while driving.

My problem haven't been road rage but rather people who are just too curious. Constantly have people following too close or crusin next to me for long runs just to get a closer look at the RT. Even yelling out their window, asking questions. Lots of times, I've just pulled over and let them go on.

Yes I do. I always have trouble finding pants that fit as a result! Plus I darn near rammed the guy just to get into position to do this. I was a real jerk for losing it like that, but it was what it was. This will never happen again. This experience taught me a valuable lesson about restraint and just letting things go. You'll live longer, that's for sure! :D

You will never win at the Game of road rage with your Spyder!nojoke

When I,m in my 4,500 Pound Sport Trac I,m more likey to play!:D

Copy that Sarge. We just all have to be careful out there and not let these things prod us into bad situations. I kind of equate it to seeing guys on the golf course throwing clubs and cussing because they hit a bad shot. It defeats the whole purpose of being out there, and that is to have fun! Besides, they look pretty silly doin it out there for all to see! :roflblack:

I don't ever want anything or anyone taking away the pure joy I feel when riding my machine. At least the things that I can control, and number one on that list is me! :D

Good for her!:2thumbs::2thumbs: That arrest would be well worth it!

:agree: I try to remind myself I don,t know whats going on in the Road Rage persons HEAD?

1- Did they just loss their job?
2- They caught their spouse cheating?
3- Humiliated by their Boss?:dontknow:
4- Found out their terminal?
5- Or maybe that scratch ticket was a loser?:roflblack:

Complicate this with the fact they could be "Packing?"
I say "Escape and Evade!":ohyea:
