Seriously, MagicMan spent quite a generous amount of time talking to me and advising me about the 3" and 4" risers. I've posted several times before (as have many others of you) about the importance of customer service.

I'm pretty sure they won't cover your bars if they break after you add the risers but everything else should be fine. The only thing you are changing is the hight of the bars, just like the BRP riser.

By the way I also notice less vibration with these new risers. :thumbup:

Hey, this is my last mod, I'm done now.

Every time Lamont writes that it's his last mod, I'm adding another decal to my Spyder. I will, however, run out of bodywork to stick them on before I get my 3" risers I bet!

At least the people (those who can read) won't ask "What is it? anymore...

Oh, and thanks for the free shipping on the risers, MM!!

Those risers look neat but I have a concern. I've fabricated a lot of things of this nature and I know it is difficult to get something like this to clamp hard enough to prevent slippage. It looks to me like very much forward or reverse pressure on the elevated bar would cause the riser to slip and rotate forward or back. It would take a lot of clamping force on the lower bar to prevent that.

This half moon type of clamp is the exact type of clamp that holds stock handle bars on to the triple trees on almost every motorcycle made. Ours is just upside down.

Question is? Do your handle bars move now? I'm 315# and an ex-powerlifter and I can't move them no mater what. God knows I tried on the prototype of this unit to be sure. So, if you can move these when tight YOUR THE MAN! :thumbup:

Fork tubes and all handlebars are clamped like this. I can say with the utmost confidence that there is no way you will get these to slip unless you go head on into a wall. :shocked: I was able to skip the Spyder in a turn today and that's the first time I've done that and the risers didn't budge. If I even thought for one minute that these would slip at all I would not ride as hard as I do now. The first set that I put a lot of hard miles on were only 3/4" wide and these are a full 1/4" wider than those and they didn't slip. You can ask Sam (Heavenbound) how hard I was riding with those risers. I'm the test dummy so you guys don't have to be. You're concerned about something that ain't going to happen.

P.S. I'm more worried about a grip comming loose in a turn than I am my riser moving.

MM can you clearify this: you mentioned earlier up this thread about the ability to "test" the riser block without cutting the original and then adding the grips.
Does your riser kit include the bars for the grips? or do we use the cut section off section of the bars as the "new" grips?

Our Kit has a new section of bar in it you don't need the old section
