Funny u should say that...I live in East Nassau, around the corner fron Lebanon Valley speedway, and my wife and I spotted a bald eagle perched in a tree the other day. There has been a pair on immature eagles spotted here, but this was a mature with a white head..It was a awesome site.

I seen many eagles in Maine when I go ice fishing on West Grand lake every yr, but this was the first ive seen around here.

As of tonight, It looks promising for this Saturday. I have to haul some gravel tomorrow, and get a few lawns done friday if it ever drys out. But I have clients that always call Friday eve with something that "just cant wait"... Oh well they are payin for my spyder after all..:roflblack:

A bunch of years back ( late 80s)I was going to lebonon valley speedway and I made a wrong turn into a town road. Realizing I made a wrong turn, turned around, almost got back to the main road and here comes bullwinkle strolling across in front of me. Bigger than a horse. If it didn't have legs I could have drove right under it.

Ive never seen a moose around here, but while snowmobilin in Maine, Ive had to come to a sudden stop many times because the damm things wouldnt leave the trails. Easer to walk on grommed trails then to walk in 5 feet of snow. Sometimes it would take a mile before bullwinkle would get tired of the sled, and leave the trail so I could go more then 5 mph...

I thought I would have that happen when I did the Gaspe loop 5 years ago, but that has never happened for me.

All the locals say to just blast past em. But when on a sled, and your looking at the underside of there belly, it not that easy...lol

Never did the Gaspe loop, but have many friends that have. I sold my sleds in 06 to buy a house, and now i have a sled on wheels..lol

If you go along the Delaware you'll likely see a lot of Eagle's, My club is a few miles off the river, The Eagles are
always flying over our lake. Just last winter i was ice fishing, and a Eagle was watching as i caught a pickerel, so i slid it across the ice and the Eagle swooped down and took it to a tree about 50 yards away and ate it.
Interesting birds, I hear they taste just like California Condors.

We've got a bunch of them nesting up here on the Rondout Reservoir lands... The City (NYC) actually put up a parking area where you can sit and look at them... It's funny to watch the treehuggers pee themselves over the joy they feel as the experience overwhelms them...

My club got lucky on one of those deals, It's a little fuzzy history, But when the Blue line was moved North east? from it's original spot at the old NJ claim line our [southern border] 'the first members [1900/10] were able to buy our first 700 ac. lot for 75 cents an acre from a lumber co. From what i was told it was all clear cut. By 1955 we added another 600 ac, Hope we can keep it in it's natural state for a hundred more years.ray:
