• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

.....

Talked with my wife last night and I offered to trailer up there so she could go. No way she's riding on the ST after the deer strike but she's willing to hangout on the Spyder when we get there. Not the best option but it's a BIG step forward to getting her back in the wind. See you guys there. :doorag:

Glad you folks are coming up Lamont,
Be prepared, clothing-wise.....

Darn, Darn, Darn - have been to Americade several times on my travels around the country. Know what a great area the Lake George area is. Y'all are pretty lucky having this event. It looks terrific. Unfortunately, I'm 2973 miles away and can't make it. Maybe another year. :banghead: May make a special trip if the organizers include the maple syrup ride like Americade does. That would be worth the 3000 mile trip.

I will check this out, been to americade lots and never heard of this one. A friend of mine is a guide for the rides up there and I will ask him about it, been doing it almost from the start. I've been guiding Spyder rides since the start of them except last year and I'm always looking for something new. Thanks, Ron. By the way everyone, the leaves are just starting to turn colors in the northeast.

Fast approching

:clap::clap::clap:Looks good Hey Ron did the mail get to you? See you the 18th:yes::yes:

SpyderQuest - "Rides" .gpx files to load into GPS's

I have converted the ride routes into .gpx files which can be loaded into various GPS's.
These are small files which need to be placed in the gpx folder of your gps.
If anyone is interested, PM me your email( can't attach to a spyderlover's pm) and I'll send them.

Bill

This is the final Itinerary for Spyderquest. We had to make a switch to the ride days, so please be aware of these important changes. Tickets for the Whiteface ride, Ft Ticonderoga ride and the Dinner cruise, will be in your registration packet and must be on your person when these events take place. The Dinner Cruise ticket is extremely important because your ticket can not be reprinted if you lose it.

Thursday September 19th

Location: Lake george RV Park in the Bingo Pavilion
74 State Route 149, Lake George NY 12845.

GPS coordinates: 43.37073, -73.69116
Website---------->
http://www.lakegeorgervpark.com/

Time: Registration opens at 2pm

Please wear your name tag located in your registration packet during this opening event. This will get you the BBQ and a bingo card later in the day. Your Spyderlovers handle (if you have one) will also be printed on the name tag to make it easier breaking the ice talking with old friends you may have never met.

BBQ will be served from 3pm-6pm We have decided to serve this BBQ as an eat when you're hungry, and will be cooking in small batches so nobody will be standing in a long line. This way will also be easier for our small staff to cook. Please feel free to use the parks amenities during this time, but please be back at the pavilion by 6pm.

6PM We will be gearing up to give away thousands of dollars in prizes during Farkle bingo. With every paid registration you will receive a bingo card for a chance to win these amazing prizes. If you want to increase your chances of winning, extra cards will be available for purchase. We will also be doing a 50/50 drawing for your chance to win cash.

Hey guys,

I was just wondering why we are taking Interstate 87 to Whiteface when going by HWY 9 would be much nicer and quieter ride and it only adds about 15 mins to the ride. As a new rider, my wife has not had a lot of experience on the faster highways and she is a little nervous about riding in a pack on an Interstate. I don't want to cause any problems but Interstate driving is also boring at best for myself.

At that time of year 87 north of Lake George is deserted and one of the scenic rides around. Rt. 9 is very bumpy and not allot to see except a few towns. We also need to make some time because of the schedule, but I would take 87 over Rt 9 anyway. Took 9 a few mouths back and I'm sorry I did. We will keep to the speed limit Thanks Ron
