• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replacing front fender light on 2009 RS SM5

I got home from a ryde yesterday and noticed that my front fender light was not working.:(
I'm not what you would call "mechanically inclined". Adding oil without overfilling is about the limit of what I can do myself without taking it to the shop.
So, that being said, what might I have to do to fix my bulb? Easy fix? I curse my non-mechanical genes every time I have to pay shop rates.

Most of what you need to know is in your Operator's Guide that is in the trunk. The fender light bulb replacement instruction are on page 114. If you don't have a guide you view or print it on CAN-AM/BRP web. To get there go to the home page and it's under Spyder Web and select CAN-AM Spyder. On this page select Owner and follow the instructions.

I've replaced stock bulb with LED. The stock seem to be prone to snapping off the contacts. No problem with LED. Much brighter to. Simple to pop off lens and. Replace. 30 second job.

No problem..!!

you simply take your thumbs and place them on the lens. Press and push the upwards. Then lift the bottom of the lens and pull the assembly out. Replace the bulb (you can get them at any auto parts) reverse the process and your done....

Thanks for the posts!!
Can I get the LED at any auto part store?
It looks like I may now have two things I can do to the spyder without needing to take it to the dealer.;)

I don't know if you can get it at a parts store...
But try taking the busted one to a store, and see if they can match it up for you...
But buy a pair of them! The other side will look pitiful, if you don't replace both of them. :D

:yes:I DID IT!!!
Thanks for all your help. It was very simple (even for me). I installed two new LED lights and they look great.
$10 per bulb, but I like them better than the old ones.
