• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replacement fuel filter #

2014 RTS, I remember someone on here replacing their fuel filter with one from NAPA? Can't find that thread now.Any one remember what the part # was?

I bought a fuel filter from either Car Quest or NAPA several years ago. The number was 86095. As I recall it was less than $3.00. I think BRP wants $18 to $20 for theirs.

From any early posting on this site. Not mine
BRP # 709000100
Walbro # 125-199
Wix # 33095

The BRP part number at least for my Spyder is 709000100.
BRP used this filter on many different models not just Spyders.
When I took the old one out it was made by Walbro and part number 125-199.
I searched for both of those and ended up buying one off of ebay for $15 including shipping.
The one on cheap cycle parts was $17 plus shipping.
The one on ebay said it was a Walbro but when I got it, it was a Wix.
When I looked up the Wix number I found out you could get those for about $8 including shipping. You could probably find them cheaper if you looked around. They do look exactly like the original one.

Hopefully this info will be helpful for some, especially since they are deleting all the old messages.

When i replace mine i'm going to get the Napa clear see through filter with the replaceable internal filter cartridge. I have two of them on other machines with 100's of hours on them. I've only replaced one cartridge, but i always keep and use clean fuel.

Are the other machines fuel injected? Not sure of the pressure the Spyder runs, but my last Harley ran between 60 and 80#. I would find out what pressure that see through filter is rated for.

It's glass and metal. I'll have to check. Thanks.

Thank you for the info. I purchased a NAPA # 3095 (WIX is the manufacturer). Total was $7.05 with AAA discount, Tax included with local pick up. According to their specs, This is identical to the WALBRO # 125-199 filter that was removed from my 2014 RTS.
