• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing shift linkage on a RTSM5

Ok , I think I've done a pretty thorough search on SL and also on the web for better instructions on changing to a heel toe shifter for using Web Boards . I purchased Web Boards and I'm in the process of installing them. There are written instructions but they're fairly vague . I have to completely remove the linkage from the transmission and then reinstall. Has anyone here installed Web Boards on their SMRT's ? Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated .

well....

I don't have floorboards or a heel toe shifter but the remove the linkage you need to remove the 6mmx30 bolt holding the small arm onto the shift shaft. Then you need to remove the adjustable rod and pivot for the shift lever. Don't know if the heel toe shifter has its own linkage or if you have to use the same parts...:dontknow:

Thnx Chupaca

I removed the lower panel so I could see better and once I figured out how to get the wrenches in the small area allotted it was easy . It was a whole lot easier than trying to remove the driver footpeg which I thought would be easy , they must have used 1/2 bottle of locktite along with the nylon washer and there isn't enough room to get the slightest turn on the nut and a socket won't fit the space . Everything is back together and the Web Boards look great . Wife says the bigger area makes it a lot easier for her to get on and off too.
