• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removed Frunk, now engine wont start

Need help quickly, as we have a ride tomorrow.
I removed the frunk to clean up my LED wiring.
now the engine won't turn over when I press the starter.
The kill switch is in the correct place. the computer seems to boot up, I hear the click from the engine area when I press the starter, though the engine does not attempt to turn over. I do not get a low battery displaying on the dash. my volt meter reads at about 11.5V
If anyone is able to help, my phone # is ###-###-#### (edit: removed number as problem resolved)
thanks!

11 volts may not be enough to excite the starter. Ours sat for a week and would not start. Charged the battery and no issues since. Will be installing a tender ASAP Just in case it has to sit for more than a few days..

Your battery is low (or the connections are loose or corroded. The battery should read at least 12.7 volts.

I've had Roger on the phone for about a half hour....
in the end, we found the problem.
its an ID-10-T error. a PEBCAK error.. IE: I was a dumbass.
I have an SM5. And when pressing the starter button, I was neither in neutral, nor had the clutch pulled in....
Thanks again Roger for all your help!

Glad you figured it out.

Glad that you guys found the "issue" and fixed it! :2thumbs:
We're supposed to learn from our mistakes... yet I'm still as dumb as ever in spite of all of my "potential for improvement"! :opps:

Its good that you discovered that problem but it would seem that you still have one to be addressed. You said your battery volt test showed 11 which is too low. If you don't already have one I would suggest a good battery tender whenever your not riding.:lecturef_smilie:
