• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here is the mount for my 7" GPS. It used to be the mount for a security camera. Boss told me to throw it away when we upgraded the cameras a few years ago. Something told me it would come in handy some day. When I put my windshield on the other day it hit me, "Here is a good place to mount it. Was looking at drilling a hole in one of the handlebar bolts and running a tap in there for some threads.

OK, here goes.

This was an old Panasonic camera mount which actually had a camera on it when I got it. It was one of those old black & white cameras about the size of two packs of smokes.I removed the camera, it had a mount similar to the one on a tripod. I took my existing GPS mount and drilled a couple of holes in it to mate up with the holes in the camera mount. Couldn't find screws that were short enough so I ran then through and ground off the ends with my grinder. The mount had a single hole where it connected to an extending arm. This hole was threaded so I seen where I could bolt it onto the Madstad windshield mount so I put a 1/4 nylon washer on each side so I would not damage the windshield mount. I may have to modify it a little because I think it will drift down even when tightened really tight, but we will see after I get it back together once my other parts arrive.

Camera Mount

Very nice job mounting the camera.

Is there any interference with the Madstad frame?

Where I mounted it prevents me from tilting the windshield back but that is OK with me. Its is a mount for my GPS. Used to be for a camera. My camera mount has yet to find a home after I removed it for the windshield.
