• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Red RT now available in Michigan

Hi there Marker! Do you mind telling me who your dealer is? I'm in Sudbury, where we have a dealer, but I'm buying from a dealer who is 600 kl away from me. I definitely also intend to bring it back there for servicing and repairs. :2thumbs:

Mine is at the dealer, but no sense in uncrating it as yet. We can hardly drive down the street, since they have not plowed since the ice storm. ...

Glad to hear it's waiting for you Scotty! Maybe after the rain, sleet and snow predicted for Thursday night, and then the snow forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we'll get enough warming next week to get rid of that ice, wash away the salt while hopefully not washing away our homes, and yield some good riding temps. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

We're gaining on it. They removed the low-hanging cable TV wire blocking both the street and my driveway, late Monday. Today they actually plowed the street! :yikes: We now have patches of asphalt showing, and smooth ice instead of lumpy ice. Of course the driveway is still glare ice, and the trailer is iced/snowed in real good, but there is a glimmer of hope. The rain washing off the salt wouldn't bother me, either. I keep advocating atience...now we'll see if I practice what I preach...LOL. as long as I can arrange to pick up the Rouge Rocket before Nancy's surgery, we'll be OK.

Hang in there Scotty!! Just got back from taking a buddy to Central Florida Motorsports to pick up his new Viper Red RT-S. The color is awesome. It does not however have metalic flake as some have posted, but definitely Fire Red! He had a great ride home and is looking forward to many happy smiles.
:ohyea:

Good, Fast or Cheap?

You only get to pick two.

Good and Fast won't be Cheap

Fast and Cheap wont be Good.

Good and Cheap won't be Fast.

Unfortunatly most people seem to think they can get all 3 everytime, and in most cases it just won't happen.

:agree:
I used to use that phrase when dealing with mounting theatrical productions.

When I bought my :spyder: I only had x amount to spend. Found a great price in Jacksonville FL, 200 miles away.
Went to my local dealer and told him of the deal to see if they could match it, because I wanted to deal with them because I wanted them to service the :spyder:. They had no 2008 left and the best he could do was an 09 for over a thousand more. It just wasn't in my margins to do that, so i went with the deal in JAX.

In the end it didn't matter where I had bought it. Both dealerships went out of business.:coffee:

I had picked Red Ryder, but when a friend called it the Rouge Rocket, it stuck with me, too. Sorta seems to go along with the place of origin. :D

:congrats: on ordering your new VIPER RED :f_spider: RTS I agree "ROUGE ROCKET" has a nice ring to it. The Viper red RTS :f_spider: at the bike show has base coat clear coat finish to it with no metallic in the paint at all. A very striking red. I like the color very much,it reminds me my old GMC pick up truck it was VICTORY RED in color. The truck when cleaned looked great in the sunshine.:D

Scotty, with your ice and snow, etc why don't you have your dealer send that red rascal down to south Texas. It is cold here now, 58 degrees, but will go to 76 after lunch. I could be riding around and you could wait for another to be delivered at spring thaw....

:roflblack: :roflblack:

yee haaa!!!!,
im getting my red rts back from cement city tonight! i pray the issues are done with now. apparently it was some kind of screw that wasn't installed during assembly.:dontknow: but either way im just glad to be getting it back. also dropped off my new yellow rs to have a pre-season check up done...just bought it from a guy in indiana, 08 with 4400 miles. should open up possibilities for us to ride with the kids now. very impressed with cement city! very accomodating and friendly!:ohyea:

:agree: That is why I like my dealer... They are good and cheap but not fast (although not as fast as I wanted to be, I am patient with them and they are honest with me.)!nojoke

Also have to give kudos to Town & Country. John P who, in addition to being a CanAm Dealer, also is a major Harley distributor and has a lot of personal miles on Spyders. I know of one 500 mile trip he rode an RTS one way and returned on a 2010 Harley conventional trike. Don't think HD really wants to know which he liked best!!:ohyea:

That being said, having two top lines with service to back up sales makes for a very successful and formidable business!

yep, i heard about that trip. and i also know which one he preferred! it is a very nice representation of a harley and can-am store though. his "museum" is amazing. i wish he would carry some can-am accessories though. he has TONS of harley stuff. but i am very pleased with service!
