• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recommendation for cover that is reasonable in cost

My Spyder is now put away for the winter in my garage. To keep it from being overly dusty come Spring, I would like to find a cover that will completely cover the RT, but I really do not want to spend a fortune. Right now I'm using the cover that I previously used for my Goldwing, but it certainly does not cover the whole bike.

I use a fitted King sized bed sheet. If you want something fancy, how about a floral print. :roflblack:

I found something that I think will work better than a sheet, which would be subject to blowing off when it is windy and the garage door is open. Its from a company called CarCoversFactory.com, and is intended for indoors for my RT. $65 with shipping included. Once it arrives and I put it on the RT I will post again.

Another vote for bed sheet. Just make sure the sheet you choose has the approval of the bed sheet warden..... Jim

I like a bike to be covered even when stored in a garage. Most years I just pull off the cover when Spring arrives, disconnect the Battery Tender and check the tire pressures then ride off on a relatively clean and shiny bike. Plus, it makes walking past the covered bike a little easier to keep out of mind when I know its still the dead of winter and I'm not going to be able to ride.

The cover from the Carcoverfactory.com arrived and I put it over my RT. Its certainly large enough, easily covering the entire RT. It is not a tightly fitted cover, but that is OK and makes it easier to fit over the bike. It seems to be of good quality material and I am pleased with it, and consider it worth the $65 that it cost.

Try an UltraGard cover. We have their half covers, but no full covers. The half cover doesn't keep everything off, but it does what it needs to for indoor coverage. And yes indeed, the bedsheet works just fine too. Been there n done that.

If you're going to cover use something that will breathe and is easy to check under (mice). I never cover our Spyder in the shed in the off season.

I agree with the leave it uncovered line of thought. Mice and cats(my wife is a cat lover) love a covered place to covey up under. If the bike is in a garage or otherwise out of the weather it is easier to hose off the dust than repair cat and mouse damage.
