• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear-view camera/display for RT pulling a Camper

I've got a rear view camera on my motorhome. It never seems to give me a picture of what I really want to see, so I rely on the rear view mirrors. Could you get snap-on rear view mirrors that extend beyond the factory mirrors? I've seen them on cars and SUV's.

Why not use this system and put monitor in waterproof box?

I like it!

Not so much for use on the Spyder, as the system I have now works just like this but is not battery powered, but for on my pick up truck for hooking my trailers up!

I love the magnet that allows for temp. mounting of it as needed, where needed. :2thumbs:

Thanks for the great info!

There is a dealer listed not too far from here on their site, going to call them today and see if they have one in stock? :dontknow:

Thanks for the suggestion

I've thought about that, but after look'n at how the mirror mods would look on the RT-S, I guess my personal vanity just doesn't like the look. I'd like to get a system that looks "good" on the Spyder, like it was meant to be there & the mirror extensions just didn't fit that bill for me. But I do appreciate your suggestion & hope I don't sound too picky. See'n as I got over $30K tied up in my Spyder, I want it to look as good as it makes me feel while ryde'n it :2thumbs:

Ok.... This is NOT an option, at least NOT for me :(

is this the one where you said for camera & wireless monitor it's just $500+, thats pretty good

Ok, finally got a response & it's not good.
1)The system for MC is only hard wired, no wireless offered
2)It has so many "cool" features that just aren't needed for my personal application (FLIR-INFRARED-Etc..)
3)It is available for consumers tho the starting cost is $5K :yikes:
4)Their Rep. Said in a few months they will offer a lower cost option for "FLEET SERVICES" starting at only $2K :yikes:

Thanks, I'll keep looking :dontknow:

They are marketing primarily to law enforcement. Nice products if you are on a state or government budget. lol

OK, so here's what I went with

After talk'n with Tadi Bros. I decided to give their system a try as they offer a full 30day $$ back gaurantee  Its a bit on the pricier side, but after recieving the system, the quality is top notch. I talked with Adi Tadi, one of the brothers in Tadi Bros. :p and he suggested a custom application for my needs. They really dont list the ICE CUBE cameras in a package, but you can upgrade to them. They are very small, about the size of your thumb:thumbup: and can be either wired or wireless. One caveat to all of their systems, is that even the wireless still have to be hard wired for power. But thats not really an issue, as I can run a pig-tail connection for power for wherever I want to locate them, but dont have to have a coax cable to run the digital image to the LCD up front

After questioning Lamont about his placement of his GPS & the size of his unit, I realized that the 7" monitor will be W A Y to big :( so I called Adi & he said no problem, just send back the 7" LCD & keep everything else, & once we recieve it, we'll send you out the 5" LCD in return and credit my account for the difference in price  I just sent the 7" back a couple days ago, so now I'm just waiting to recieve the 5" screen. So far, very good customer service & very high quality product.

Once I get everything in, I'll post some pics for y'all to see :p
