There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Rear air Suspension - need input

I have been reading your posts for a while and think it is time to switch to 3 wheels. The dealer closest to me still has a 2014 RT at a good price. I had planed on getting an RT-S though. Just wondering how often you change the pressures on the rear suspension and need that built in.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I never change mine. I have mine set at 50psi. Whether I am by myself, or if my wife is riding with me, I leave it there and it works great.

You have come to a great site. Lots of great people who know just about everything there is to know about these machines.

Air in my tail is a good thing---

I have an RTS and use the onboard air suspension adjustment constantly. Load changes require it and road types require it. I adjust on the fly, as needed, and often as it makes for a safer and more stable ride. My 2012 has had no problems with the adjustable system to date. I find the possible changes fit road situations very well. I prefer soft settings on interstates to lull the joint bumps and such and stiffer settings for curvy back roads.

Thanks for the tip; just what I need to watch on way to Spyderfest. My longest interstate stretches have been to/from dealer and I routinely keep my setting full firm for the twisties.

3X a week as a minimum.

One setting for me alone 2 bars and one for me & the wifey 4 bars. Keep about 70 lb in the tank.

PUSH BUTTONS

I rarely adjust my Basic RT.......I think the people who have a BUTTON .....feel they paid for it so they need to use it ....just sayin :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Mike

When my 2010 A&C, was JUST an A&C; I'd keep it a about 60 psi for solo rides...
...and raise it to 70 psi for two-up
Once it became an "RT-S" (of sorts...), I'd usually run it just one bar down from maximum.

On the 2014; I do tend to vary it a lot more. The setting actually changes the ride height, and you can use it to help get your headlights pointing down the road a bit better!

I rarely use my button but it does come in handy to change the ride depending on the road. We have one freeway here (605) that is like riding speed bumps and softening the ride does help. But again I rarely change mine.

Where are you in the Sandhills?

I also keep mine at 50lb at all times. I just hope you don't get an RT with a leak in the system like I did. Mine had a bad fitting at the airbag and I suffered with it all last season. I had to add air before every ride as it would drop from 50 to 20lb overnight, very frustrating. My dealer was no help so I ended up fixing it myself. Any leak is unacceptable so I wouldn't get the onboard compressor system just to compensate for that possibility. I hope you get an RT with no leaks, I'm very very happy with mine now.

Baker built (SL sponsor)had a onboard, add on system. Have it on my 2010 for years, adjust with abutton and compressor can taken out and used to air others tires if needed

I do as Bob said..

...when riding at night, I have the rear suspension set LOW to give far better headlight coverage down the road. Daytime - setting back up to 3/4 or so. Love the switch.

if I am riding on the interstate.. I set my RT's suspension on a lower setting... but ... on twisty roads.. I jack it up.. not because I like playing with switches... it does change the handling ..

If it would hold air about 62 pounds works for me..

.My 2014 RT had a defective shock from the get-go, leaked like a tire with a nail in it..

So......it is in the shop being replaced by warranty......The main problem with it leaking down on a ride was the low beams being set perfectly in the morning and blinding folks by the time it gets dark again....

I look forward to setting it and forgetting it for a few weeks....Plus I will be adding a 12 volt outlet on the front for the mini compressor with a heavy enough circuit to run it, the one in the trunk is fused at too low of amperage and blows the fuse and I do not want to chance a larger fuse...

I am a big boy so about 62 pounds works same for me 1 up or my wife riding with me.. A good happy medium..... :-) It will be great when it actually holds it

Was just in Pine Hurst this weekend, drove home today. Had a memorial service for my step father yesterday at a cemetery near 7 Lakes off 211, west of Pine Hurst. Rain all the way home. Stayed off the expressways once we got past Winston-Salem until we hit I-75 near London, KY.
Was in Greensboro yesterday afternoon to but some gear at the Gerbings store just off the corner of Elm and Lee in Downtown Greensboro. they have a 75% off sale this month, but are beginning to run low on stock of small and medium items. I got a nice pair of gloves and a new jacket liner for $133.00. They seem to have plenty of gloves in all sizes and pants liners and jacket liners in larger sizes.
The also have revived the "Duck Head" line of clothing and are selling it at the store.
We dealt with a Michael "Tex" Mawby, President, Garbing Motorsports. That is what his card says. They also had a cookout you could partake of after purchasing items. Nice store in an area that is a little depressed.

Ahhhh........I see mine was not a isolated case..

Mine leaked very similar, but the dealer did agree it was defective and ordered a new one right away..I hate your dealer gave ya trouble on yours....So, the replacement does not leak at all for you?? I hope that is the case with mine.....

No leak now. Feels good to not have to check it constantly.
