• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really?!?

My thoughts? The seller is an idiot:thumbup:

:agree: Yes, this guy is WAY out of line with the current market value. Most of us purchased in 08 or 09 wound up paying MSRP of around $17K. My small unscientific study of recent sales shows an 08 or 09 with less than 5K miles on it should sell for around $12K.

Fast depreciation on these types of vehicles is to be expected. It will certainly make me think twice of selling mine just to have an RT. But if the Lotto hits......:2thumbs:

I am looking into purchasing my first Spyder and ran across this. Is there something I am missing? :dontknow: There is no way someone should pay this much for an '08.:lecturef_smilie: It looks as if this guy is trying to rip someone off.

What are your thoughts?

Hopefully soon to be Spyder owner.

Stuntman, are you ever going to give up? You stand out like a mirror reflecting sunshine.

The only way that it could be considered a good deal is if he put $14,000 cash in the trunk. :D

:wrong: :roflblack:

It's more expensive than what I paid for my new :spyder: PLUS all the mods I added!!! For that price, you're looking at the NEW BRP touring :spyder:

He should... :crackpipe:

In the world of caveat emptor -- you can offer anything for sale at any price. If you put a ridiculous price (as this seller has) on an object and you find a buyer -- more power to you.

On the other hand, perhaps this person's S.O. has made it mandatory that the Spyder be sold and this person does not want to sell. This listing is clear evidence for the S.O. that there is an attempt being made to sell the Spyder. The fact that it is at a price that -- presumably -- no rational person would pay is of no matter. Keeping the S.O. satisfied is important.

Otherwise, the seller is simply an idiot that has motivations we will never understand.

Sorry, but that is NOT stuntman Steve's bike or his auction.

Take a close look at the bike, it has none of MagicMans cool add-on items.

I had a bid on stuntman's bike, but I was outbid pretty dang quick!

$25,000..... and even at that the reserve is not met! Simply ridiculous.

I agree with Bill:2thumbs:
