In advertisements from Cell Phone Companies, why do they all refer to the number of phones as "lines"? When was the last time a Cell Phone company strung a phone line to you? Decades and decades ago, MaBell actually strung phone lines to homes for service. But cell phone companies never have! And, does anyone under 50 years old even know what a "line" is anyway?

We moved to southern Ohio back in October. On a county road "back in the hollar". No cell phone service or cable here, Although they say we will have cable in about 2 years. Our only option for phone service is a copper line from AT&T. It was costly, But at our age we gotta have some form of emergency service.
