• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RADIO ANTENNA ON SPYDERS!!!!!!

The game is afoot!
2010 RT... antenna part number: 710001402
2012 RT... antenna part number: 710002740

They're hidden in "Electrical Accesories 3"

I just looked at my 2012 RT and the antenna does look like it is carbon fiber... so you don't need a GW folding antenna adapter now?

I suppose that I should now look up a price for the new antenna, and see if I should just break my 2010 old style one and upgrade; or go shop at the Honda dealership a bit... ;)

That would be interesting to know how they compare on price. Or go to a Honda rally and steal one from a GW and I think you might get your antenna broken for free :roflblack:

I'd have to pick a 'Wing that's owned by an old and infirm couple that I could at least have a chance at outrunning! :roflblack:

Antenna missing

Before going on a day ride, I always do the normal checks plus I just happened to check my antenna for tightness. Snug as a bug..
I get back from the ride and guess what's missing? The antenna and the rubber boot at the bottom. I went to my dealership for an unrelated reason, mentioned the antenna and boot must have fallen off. Their answer was someone probably stole it !!! There was no mention of using loctite....I could find cheaper antennas but no rubber boot. I had to order the shorter antenna and boot from my very horrible dealer at full retail. I also asked them to put it on for me even after being assured it was easy. glad I did, as it to the tech several trys before he could get it to screw in and get the boot to actually fit properly. Total gits!

Outcome on adapting the Goldwing Antenna.

Better let me test it here to make sure there are no issues with radio reception or anything like that before you spend the $50.

John

John, just had my radio antenna break on the way back from Spyderfest. Need to replace mine. Would like to know how it worked out and can I get an adapter from you.
