• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This sounds like a good way to save some time and work during an oil change, but I can't help but ask an obvious question.
What is the original purpose for the flash pan? I guess I could ask BRP or CanAm, but figured I'd get a quicker and better answer here. I'm guessing that the only reason would be to prevent a lot of mud, water, and other debris from mucking up the oil tank area.

Mine went the 1st time I was underneath and forgot to put it back on. :banghead:. "Hate it when that happens, extra parts for next time. 23K and no debri anywhere. It must be an aerodynamic thing, or somesorta vaccum devise for heat disipation:roflblack:.

I believe I read on one of the threads that Lamonster said the splash pans were primarily for noise suppression. Lamont correct me if I've misquoted you.
