There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hello everyone! I am wanting to replace the BRP emblems on my spyder with something else. My question is are the BRP emblems removabel? and what is the procedure. I will look at it tomorrow, but thought maybe someone has already taken their's off. Any info will be much appreciated!! :helpsmilie:

been there done that

Yes the brp emblems are removeable. heat them up with a hair dryer but dont get to close too spydee cause youll burn the paint, just heat enough to soften the glue. with that said they will not be reusable, I replaced mine with spyders.:ohyea:

Thanks for the info, I may and try to do something custom tho. :spyder:

I was very careful with a flat tip screwdriver. The glue that BRP used is very thick, and may take you a while to get the majority of it off. The trick to getting something custom is to find the right size, I believe it is 2.75 inches, but you are definitely going to want to measure first.

My avatar shows what I did with the front one, but I have not been able to find a replacement for the rear one yet.

2.75 is right. I've made a couple. Be really careful not to chip the paint it's easy to do.:2thumbs:

Are the ones you made the gel coated type, like what's on there now? Hmm maybe we could squeeze in yet another detail on my Spyder with new emblems :roflblack:

I used the hair dryer too, and it works great. Just a word of warning. If the Spyder (or paint job) is old; the paint under the decals will be new looking, and will be very noticeable (don't ask how I found out). I am going to take mine off this weekend, as I just bought my Spyder.

Joe, The ones I made were aluminum and I painted them. They are on Bumblebee's Spyder. Let me know if your interested.

Bullet24, I think they are but you should measure.:doorag:

I was thinking of the RT. The emblem on the back is the same on an RT I think.

Oh, that would make life so much easier as then I could have gotten a matching emblem for the rear. So far I have not been able to find one small enough, so that piece of BRP branding is still in place. :(

Old custom Honda trick.....

Remove the emblems, paint them any way you want, clear coat, then replace. You can have your SpyderLovers screen name, an airbrushed Spyder, your favorite race driver's number, or anything else you can dream up.

Thank you, I like this one :2thumbs:

That is a good one! I wanted to try and use the kuryakyn zombie medallions in place of the BRP logo, but I think their large one is only 2". It may fit the back tho? I'll have to measure. Anybody know of other emblems readily available? Not interested in the spyder ones, seems a lot of people have em. I want like a skull or something like that.
