I had posted when I first got my bike that I was getting around 26 mpg. I just had the bike serviced this weekend...my dealership is about 75 miles away, so it's a nice long ride back and forth to assess mileage.
How about 5.0 gallons and 155 miles?...translating to 31 mpg. This is quite an improvement...for those out there getting crummy mileage, give it some time as it should get better.
As the engine breaks in and you get more proficient at changing gears (I have a manual transmission), the mileage will go up quite a bit.
Oh, I use the recommended 87...never saw a difference with premium and let's not rehash that pointless argument....fact is that higher octane does NOT improve mileage...this can be read all through the internet and beyond!
