• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Good Morning, I have a 2012 RT SM5 and I noticed that BRP dont supply you with an overabundance of fuses. I also notice that they charge some outrageous price for each fuse. Are these just standard automotive fuses that I can purchase at my local automotive store?

Yes, they are standard auto fuses. Any automotive store will have them. Walmart as well.

Neet, I'll have to swing in tomorrow and pick up some spares to carry with me on tour. Anyone know what a good assortment would be to carry :dontknow:

For sure..!!

mini bayonet fuses available anywhere. They don't give many extras because they are warning devices and just changing the fuse will not solve the issue. Good to have an assortment to get you home in a pinch however...

YES.................

...Are you looking at the Relays ? ? ?

No, I'm talking the fuses under the seat. The relays on my GS are up front under the trunk lid, along with the standard auto fuses.

Like I said, I don't know if the fuses are the same between the GS/RS and the RT. I was just trying to alert the OP to the Jcase fuses that might be under the seat. If the RT does not use the Jcase fuses, someone let me know and I'll remove my posts.

If you go to the link I provided, you'll see where you can purchase the J case fuses. The link also says they are used in the RT's. However, I don't know if all year RT's use the same ones. It's easy to look at and tell the difference between the J case and standard auto fuses.

Who said they were proprietary?

I got replacement underseat ones at Auto Zone. There may have been one size I could not get.

That may have been the 25 amp. The thread I linked to is a few years old, and at the time I had to purchase on-line, including the 25 amp. Good to know they can be purchased locally now. However, in 5 years I haven't had to replace any of the fuses, including the ones under the trunk lid and under the seat.

Yup, but if you don't have any spares and you're out in the middle of nowhere, that's just when one will decide to blow
