• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Purchase the Spyder???

Luv mine.......

I cannot disagree with anyone on here.
Sit down and let me tell you a tale......
I'd been riding "leaners" since the sixties in England and since then I've noticed how much closer to each other people drive now.
"I didn't see you......"...how many times have we heard that.
About three months I saw an ad on TV and the Spyder immediately caught my eye.....you can't help but see it.
Two months ago I bought a black and silver RS. Went to pick it up....started it and selected first, dragged the clutch and started to move. Spyder started to turn left and I leaned right and stalled out....most embarrasing. I restarted and started to move and got to the parking lot next door.
"Oh hell, have I made a big mistake." I spent the next ten minutes getting used to what was happening. It really didn't take that long to get comfortable enough to run in traffic at up to 30 mph.
I got home after a nice run down the highway at appropriate speed.
Haven't looked back....I couldn't/wouldn't go back.
Its a different way of riding...you gotta relax and you'll develope your own style.
The most pleasing thing in my mind is that we're easy to see...and that goes a long way toward a decent comfort factor....and I believe it will make you a better car driver in the long run, too.
And no, you may not corner as fast as a 2 wheeler but that V-twin has great acceleration.
Trust me, you'll not regard it as a mistake to get one.

Love my spyder

I recently bought my spyder with almost no motorcycle exp I took a test drive at the closest dealer which had me hooked I pulled the trigger on my 09 rse5 the next day on eBay
I flew to Indianapolis to collect my beauty did the required paperwork traded the check for the keys and set off on a 1300 mile 2 day ride with out a motorcycle endorsement
This bike made me feel extremely safe and was a great ride went from low 70s and rain to 105 and blazing Sun in Houston and haven't been off it since
In my first month I racked up 3500 miles
If you ask me do I like the ride and handling I say I love it

I'm 46 yrs old and the last time I rode a 2 wheeler w a motor was when I was 13. Last time i rode a bicycle I was 18.
So to say I was green was a understatement. I had my spyder delivered by my dealer on 6/10/11 while I was at DMV getting it regestered.
I got home grabed a old snowmobile helmet I had, and went for a spin. I felt safe, and it felt like I rode one for yrs. 3 weeks later I took my MSF course on a 2 wheeler. Even after passing wth flying colors, I do not feel safe or feel I can ryde a 2 wheeler in traffic safely.

I have many hrs/miles on everything from snowmoblies, atv's, tractor trailers, skidsteers, excavators. Havent had as much fun on any of those compaired to the 1700 miles I have on my spyder.

Get yourself a test ryde..Even if u have to take a MSF coures first. It will help u be a safer ryder, 2 or 3 wheels..
