• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Proper jacking, bracing and oil change on 2010 RT

My favorite way to lift it is to get three car ramps. Place them backwards behind each wheel, then backup onto the ramps.
 
Very carefully is the best way. Lots of ways you can do it, I use a jack and 3 jack stands jackedup sl.jpg That way I can get under the spyder and look around at everything at the same time. in this photo I was doing a lot more then oil change, but you can see it gives you plenty of room with the jack stands.

I use the very reliable Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 1500lb ATV lift and three jackstands.

Can't help.....

I still do all my oil changes on the floor. The only other way would be with a full lift but that is not in the budget. I do have the craftman ATV/motorcycle lift for all other work...

There are already a lot of good ideas provided and you can find many threads on this. The only thing I'll add is I generally don't jack mine up at all as you don't have to if you have a low profile oil pan. If you don't you likely only need to raise a couple of inches. You don't need to over do it and risk damage to you or the bike.

I have changed oil on my 2018 RTL while flat on the floor, tricky but can be done. A couple more inches would be great. So, I built 2 ramps made out of 2 x 10 wood. Easy to make and really cheap. The bottom part is 24" and the small part on top is 12". If you can, make a 45 degree cut on the edge, but not necessary. Drive the bike on top. Give you an extra 3" and make the job a lot easier.
