• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We went for a ride yesterday and my brother was following me he radio me and said your light are all bright in the back like i was riding my brake but i didn't have my foot on the brake. Shortly after that my spyder went into limp mode i got it back home with only going about 20 mpg. After that I got on the internet to see why my brake light was all lite up we put the right side off only to find a lot of wires and looks like a two connector hardness but then you put the orange with the red all the light come on so we left the red wire off because it seems the orange had power so i got no clearance light on the top trunk light that has a red and black coming from it so we got the brake lights off so with all this going on i put it outside to run it to charge the battery back up with all the light issues and i can see antifreeze coming out from the front is this cause maybe i left it run to long or if it was over full ? I let it cool down and start it back up make sure the cap was tight But i didn't see anything so i guess the wiring is not fix and the antifreeze and the limp mode why this all happen I'm new to the spyders hope it not a big problem Thanks any help would be appicrated it a 2010 rt se

The brake light issue is probably a stuck brake light sensor switch. Look under the peg and oush in the brake you can easily figure out where the switch is. Clean it iff and you should be good.

Little checking.....

:agree: put all your wires back the way they were and check that brake switch. The reason for the limp home mode is the brake light staying on. As to the antifreeze, check that the resivior cap is on to the second detent. Check the radiator hoses and you will find one with an adjustable clamp. Tighten it as many were loose. ..

Yup! :agree:  Try the simplest stuff first... Good luck!

I had this issue with the brake lights and going LIMP MODE...

... and for me it was that my size 12 boot was riding on the oversized brake pedal I had installed. Took off the oversized pedal but kept my size 12 foot. I know it's not your issue here but that brake light staying on will cause the limp mode.

Also happened to me. New Boots, riding the brake, eventually limp mode.

Will i got into it today the bike , being a nice day, And wanting to ride, I put the wires back the way they were. And got the brake lights off but now my trunk light only comes on when i hit the brake pedal the brake light light up but no clearance light like i had i before Then i took it out the road for a test drive and it was making a noise on the left side so baby it home again i took it a part again and found a motor mount bolt was missing on the left side so i put a new one in hoping that takes care of the noise problem the antifreeze was like you guys said a clamp but it was at the bottom of the tank were it was leaking .But by this time it dark out and i'm tried mess with it all day so i give it a try tomorrow this don't work off to a can am dealer any good ones let me know Thanks the guy that had the bike before me had a lot of lights on it that didn't work is why we had problems in the first place. But thanks again guys for your help Hope it fix

Sounds like you have the High Mount Brake Light frm Custom Dynamics, the light operates as a brake light only, or a running and brake light with the addition of a module. If it was working as a running and brake light, and now as a brake only, you either have a bad module or you did not wire it correctly.

after market lighting

But thanks again guys for your help Hope it fix " <---- the mystery is unfolding ... it looks like the " after market lighting is your culprit , try finding the wiring schematics for the cycle , and trace all the wiring that the guy who had it before you installed . this will be the fix . it will be a 1 or 2 day job I would have to guess . depending on your wallet , you can take it too the dealer , and with the dealer it might take 2 or 3 weeks to get it back ... good luck with your endeavors ( there is a business in Columbus ohio ,who installs after market lighting kits , these folks might be able to trace out the bad wiring and put your cycle back together in a faster time frame can`t remember , if it is spyder pops or who , but they have a page here on spyder lovers )
