I'm getting ready to install the Show Chrome trailer wiring harness (#41-162) on my 2013 RTL. If anyone has installed this harness on their Spyder, what is the best routing for the power / ground wiring to the battery in the frunk?? I know the pre-13 Spyders have a shorter routing since their batterys are under the seat.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The battery is not in the front trunk. It is located behind it. Very important because there are no holes to drill to get to it. Just fish the wires down to it.
Since you have a 2013. You do not have to go all the way to the battery. Full power available from the jumper posts. Less curse words needed.
Wires can be routed either right or left side. Once the tupperware has been removed you will see the existing harness routing. Just follow that and zip tie to it.

Wiring install
Just installed the same wiring last week on my 2013 RTL. I put the 2 wires in a loom and snaked them along the left side, not really too hard. Ended up coming out under the seat with the fuse so i could get to it if needed. Bought a LED changeover (5 to 4) and cut the showchrome pigtail (5wire) off so it was about a foot long, used heat shrink connectors all the way. Ended up stuffing mine under the left tail light and coming out to a connecting 4 flat block just under the left luggage compartment. This took 10 seconds to read but it took me 3 days to do-- but i work pretty slow. But it is all hidden and does work.
