• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My friend Have a can am spyder 2011. Yesterday his oil lamp came on?????checkt the oil level...but the oil level was perfect. The bike has run 600km. so almoset new! Anyone any ides what to check for.:dontknow:

If the engine was running, and it was indeed the oil light (there are a lot of icons near there), he should see his dealer. He may have a faulty oil pressure switch. If he did not also get limp mode, it was probably not the low oil pressure indicator. I would suspect the "Nanny" indicator, which indicates the VSS kicked in. Easy to do when accelerating in tight turns, etc.

oil light

Did the oil come on and go off or come on and then stay on....this may sound silly but ????.....Mike....

I had a similar problem during spyderfest. Started Spyder, oil light stayed on and check engine scrolled. Turns out it was a faulty oil pressure switch. Cowtown did the repair and I've had no problems since.
