• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pictures of Vermont Route 108 Smugglers Notch

Deanna 77, last year my wife, Brother and his girlfriend rode over route 17 to crosst he new bridge into New York. That road had a few twisties on it. We went by a ski Resort. I think it was Mad River. Here is a couple of pics on a turn off west of the ski resort. Bruce

Smugglers Notch is a very busy road , with cars, parked on both sides near the top. Read post # 2 about the road. Ride my original thread. Deanna

Bruce, Yes, route 17 does have a few twisties and you do go by Mad River Ski Area.

Thanks for pictures, the new bridge is Crown Point and route 17 goes all the way to the new bridge. I rode that route last month, which I have been on several times. Nice country over in that area, a lot of large farms. Deanna777

Bruce, I would suggest riding that route during the week, if you can. Mike and I rode that route on Sunday there were a lot of cars. Stowe is a very nice, touristy town Google Stowe, Vt. see what you find. Deanna

If anyone is going to Americade sometimes they have had a ride through the gaps of Vermont. It is fun to do.I actually did them all when I was in my 20's on a bicycle.Much more fun on a motorcycle and Can Am.

If you are going to do Smugglers Notch.I would suggest that you do it soon.Summer season for Smuggs can get really congested. They also have many activities going on in the Village and up the Stowe road that can take an hour or more just getting to the Notch. However there are also great things to do in Stowe.
